Hi Im new here, but i recently had a problem with my EVGA 980ti after new driver updates. If i try to launch a game ( Apex, PUBG) the screen goes black and monitor loses signal ( using display port). Computer stays on and i hear game sound. I tried using DDU and booted PC into safe mode to preform a clean install and it still happens. I have tried different games and the only games that work are skyrim and shenmue off the steam launcher. I disconnected 980Ti and used integrated GPU ( I76700k) and all games launch normally without monitor losing signal. I have EVGA Supernova 850 G2 power supply. I dont have access to another GPU or PSU.

Well, if everything was fine until you updated the gpu driver then most likely that is your problem. Did you try and do a windows restore on your pc? If not that may be your best bet to roll everything back to a working older driver and the settings.

Time to DDU, and go back to the older drivers that were working.

Go back to the driver that worked. Wait for the next new drivers, and try again. Remember to uninstall the old drivers, or you may get conflicts.

I just had the same thing on my Titan XP... I replaced my DP cable, that fixed it (after trying out a bunch of other things). Was weird how the cable was fine for a year or more, then I did a rebuild, and suddenly the cable was bad. The 980 Ti SC on my wife's rig is still going strong though (touch wood).
