Hello,

I need a 12volt, 10 pin adapter cable for my propriestery motherboard CPU slot.

The only ones I can find are 8pin to 10 pins

Is it alright to use 1 pin and turn the 12v's from that into 2pins?

The layout would be

PSU | 8pin -> 10pin | MB

Or is it best practice to say,

Use an 8pin + 6pin to 10 pin, wrapping the extra unused live wires?

My PSU: EVGA 750 G2 / 220-G2-0750-XR

Thank you!

    If it is a proprietary connector, it is not recommended to try to mod a power supply for use with that motherboard. Proprietary connections tend to have a non-standard pinout and if you do not have the correct pinout, then you could potentially damage the components of the system.
