My manual says to use the one 4 pin connector in the pin one position but when I power up I get a screen warning in Chinese/English that it is not enough power. The other 4 pin connector will only plug in to the rest of the 8 pin connector if I swap it around backwards because of the shape of the internal pins. This scares me because I don't have a pin out diagram of the voltages. Has anyone ever done this before? I am waiting on a 4 to 8 pin cable adapter but that is taking the power of 1 cable and just splitting it into 2 and I don't know it will be enough. Help me please.

The eps cpu cable should have two 4 pins that combine into a single 8 pin for the motherboard. You shouldn’t need to buy an adapter.

I ended up sending back to Amazon. It was clearly a defect from the factory. The two 4 pin CPU power connection cables should be identiclal and they weren't. The one had different pins inside and was able to be plugged in in any direction. I just hope it didn't burn up my motherboard. I'm going with a diferent brand next time. I got no response from EVGA tech support.

Here is a picture of my 2 connectors from my brand new EVGA 700GD power supply. The pins inside the  CPU power connectors are not the same and I could not get a power Ok signal from the motherboard from post. The one on the left has 2 square pins and 2 round pins and will only go in one way. The one on the right has all round pins and will go in any way you try it.  I was afraid it was wired incorrectly. The 8 pin connector is actually configured with the 4 pin on the right, pins 1-4, and then duplicated upside down next to it, 5-8. It's all very confusing. I have returned the unit. I'm surprised EVGA doesn't put an adapter cable in with the power supply. I'm sure they can get them for 2 yuan.
