April fool's joke or something? Seriously, I'm hoping there is a way to shut off this loading badge because it's freaking ridiculous. If it's a joke, very funny!

Agreed, the program is the very last to load and the badge sits there for awhile after everything else is loaded.

    EVGA should just scrap this.

They would be better off making a small program that tied ICX fans together. Then ICX card owners could choose what program they wanted to use. Choice is good.

Or perhaps a program that adjusts the fan curves in the card bios. Now THAT would be extra great.

    I just don't get it.

I flew off the handle and said some angry stuff in this post so I edited it after the fact. I don't need to lash out at EVGA for breaking the rules they explicitly posted.

Although I do think that censoring *that word* is ridiculous still, that doesn't matter. The rules are the rules. Kid friendly means play nice. My bad.

I read the post prior to being edited so I'm assuming saying *that word* is prohibited... I agree, that is ridiculous. It's not like he was attacking another member or dropping f-bombs.

Yeah, I'm probably a bit on tilt here as well. Gotta chill a bit. EVGAs stuff is great, just this precision xoc program makes me sad.

That word isn't allowed.....not sure what your beef is. It's their forum, they can do as they please. No "first amendment" doesn't hold here. Private entity.

And if they choose to delete it, again, their choice...it's one thing to say "I don't like the badge staying up for 20 seconds, can you tone it down?" and another completely to disregard their forum rules and use words/terms/bodily functions to describe something  you don't care for.

If the badge is staying up that long, it is annoying, but abide by the forum rules when posting. Do you want/allow people to come into your home and speak in a manner you don't like?

    Same principle.

Honestly I did not think for a second they would censor the word I used. Lesson learned.

I was really excited for 6.2.4 to be a better program. Then it comes out and there is a loading badge on my screen (for way too long) every time it loads. Nerd rage engaged and here we are. Next time- I will not get my hopes up. Problem solved.

I don't like to shut down a thread or delete the entire thread of a subject unless it gets really out of hand. Only the references to the word we don't allow was edited out. The rest of the post(s) was left intact.

Edited. I understand that this is their forum and they make the rules and your analogy holds true. I personally think it's excessive censoring. But again, I understand that rules are rules and must be followed if we're to be apart of their forums.

Getting back to matter of Precision... I have yet to try 6.2.4, though providing an option to enable/disable splash screen sounds easy enough to implement... hopefully.

I had the same hopes.  At least I have AB to fall back on...

That load / lag delay is aggravating.  I have mine on auto start up and it  feels like I don't have an SSD.

Agreed, with v6.2.4 that huge logo stuck on the screen for ~30 seconds is utterly ridiculous, especially if you have the program set to load minimized, starting up with the OS.   The lag delay and interference with other tasks that it introduces at start-up is also quite aggravating.  It's enough to make me seriously consider dumping Precision X and just going back to Afterburner.

    4790K / 32GB G.Skill Trident X DDR3 / ASUS Z97-A / Titan X (Pascal) / Samsung 850 Pro / Corsair 800D / Rift + Touch / Vive / and just a wee bit of water cooling...
