Just got my shipment from Newegg. Put most together last night, installed DVD player this am. Plugged in the PSU with all associated parts attached and connected and nothing happened, no light, no fan, no burst of black smoke, nothing.  Have been on the forum looking for possible solutions, main supply and 12v are connected securely to the MB.   Saw the thread where I could test the PSU with the paperclip.  Disconnected everything, left PSU in computer case, disconnected power cord and turned switch off.   Set the paperclip as per instructions, re plugged in power cord and turned on switch. NOTHING.  I do not have another PSU to swap with.

This is my 4th build in the last 10 years and never had any issues, well once I did when I did not connect the 12v cord to the board.  Won't forget that again, cost me $50.

System:  Bronze 500 PSU
Intel I-7 10gen 2.9ghz LGA1200 chip
32 (2x16) gig Ripjaws modules
ASRock B460 Phantom board

No extra graphics card.

If you did the Paper Clip Test and got nothing, then the PSU either isn't getting power from the wall, or through the power cord that's no good, or the PSU is no good and you should return it to Newegg.

I swapped cords from the many that I have.  There is power as from the socket as I unplugged a tv that was operating at the time to plug in the PSU.  Repluged in tv and it is back on.

    Thanks for the quick reply
