A very interesting experiment to see what the GTX 970 can do on a 4K resolution screen.

My GTX 970 is showing it's age at 2k. I couldn't imagine using it for 4k.

The article seems to say they have been doing quite well with it.

I ran my 4k monitor for a few months with a 970, worked fine. Would have to tweak settings a bit and had to adjust my target down to 40-60 FPS for new titles, but it did much better than I was expecting.

The xbox one x is doing 4k with just a bit more power than a 970. Pretty much you'll either have to drop to medium settings or deal with 30fps. I think most will go for a mix like u/somethingc00I did. Honestly not too bad
