Hi How are you doing everyone I hope you are OK Before I start , My English is not my mother language so I tried to do my best , about this subject So I own 3090 Ftw3 ultra and that card is beautiful I actually I enjoy with this card for entire one year without any problem , so to make story shorter I download the demon game , because all my friends play it without any problem and the most of them they have 3080Ti and 3090 from different brands So I do my safety and lower my power limit for 50% I choose cab frame on 60 , I put all settings Low , lmy card with water cooling , so everything should be OK But two hours then my Card go dark with a no life Or signal ! And before that everything is OK So my card is dead right now , I start RMA ticket and thank God they except it , and we looking for a good future and a good replacement so I send it to Evga RMA department But I have important question : I already know they will give A replacement card But not A new one *refurbished card* Or something equal to my damage Card with a warranty , Does the replace card had the same issues ? What about if I play the same game Again ? I will face the same issues ?! So what’s the point from taking a replacement card maybe , fixed from the same problem before ? Because from my case I’m from Middle East , The shipping cost only cost me 200$ So I will pay it again for the same reason ? I hope not , because this is too expensive So I want your opinion about that , why we don’t get Now design card prevent same problem in the future

Have there been some problems with the game that is either coding, GPUs or both, yes. My personal opinion is that I would stay away from the game until the problem is finally resolved. How many times does someone stick their finger into a pot of boiling water before they decide that it is not a good idea?

Sell your replacement card and buy another brand. is your BEST bet, the worst one is stick with the replacement and hope it dont die to a Amazon Game....

You know dude this this is my thought , but I hope not if EVGA not changing the design or not releasing a statement explaining what happened for those card And what do you do for the replacement card to prevent that happen in the future We know it is faulty game , and there is a card from another brand died to But also we know the most dead card from Evga So i’m wondering that card will still stand for future game like we have right now

Maybe you can Step-up to the Kingpin people have set world records on it, Id imagine it could handle new world. That said I don't think you need a 3090 to play free MMOs, Id Imagine a 3060 is plenty for a game like new world. If super worried about damaging the card it maybe easier to swap in a 3060 while playing new world?

Very sorry to hear about your troubles. Did you confirm the Power Limit was applied and the card was only drawing ~210W? If so that is amazing that it failed and reducing power is not necessarily a fix. Reducing the game settings have actually preceded failures for some people. It is possible in some applications (like lower MSAA in Furmark) for a lighter setting to produce a higher load.

I agree. Especially when it comes to the 3090 FTW3 Rev 0.1 cards. I don't know how your response could be interpreted as angry, but that is a fundamental flaw of text.

I would not try it with any 30 series card until it is solved what the issue is, I mean it would be cheaper to build another PC to play the game with a 2080 than loose your 3090.

Might as well not play Hall MCC either then. And not WoW either. And not browse the internet. And not turn your computer on. All of those actions have also caused these cards to fail. It's been happening over the course of a year. An alternative viewpoint is that some cards are defective (especially among the 3090 FTW3 Rev 0.1 cards), and they will randomly fail at some point regardless of what you do, so don't waste your time living in fear and avoiding certain situations. A reasonable person would say that a video card shouldn't fail regardless of which game you decide to play.

'New World' is a cross between WoW and Fortnite, so it's like catnip for a good sized segment of gamers. Convincing them to not play it is easier said than done.

Hi everyone. Sadly i have to warn you that the problem is not New World but the EVGA GPUs are. Wednesday i was playing Apex Legends and suddenly my pc shut down, i try to turn back on and nothing happened. So i unplugged my GPU and the pc started up without problems. I already tried with a different PSU and is the same, if i plug the GPU the pc won't turn on, as soon as i unplug the GPU the pc will boot. I have a 3080 XC3 Ultra bought in November 2020, i played different games in the last year like Call of Duty, Valorant, Rdr2, Death stranding, but for some reason i started playing Apex Legends and the second day of playing my GPU bricked. So i don't know what is going on but i'm pretty sure that there are some issues with EVGA GPU's and is not only a New World's fault.
