Hey guys, any ideas why my icx temps on my 3090 FTW3 would be showing 0c for everything.. The only temperature I can see is GPU temp. In GPUz sensor data, icx temps are showing hotter than then sun at 6554.

GPUz Sensor Data is wrong because of a Driver bug with NVidia that has not been resolved yet on the iCX sensors.

Use HWInfo64 to watch your actual current temps - the 6500+C spikes are just errors, nothing to be concerned about (they are even pointed out during the review of the card on Gamers Nexus' channel on YouTube).

Unfortunately this STILL has not been fixed yet, NVidia proving they're as incompetent at fixing simple driver bugs as they are making enough cards for people to actually buy.

the weird thing is that it was working previously in both px1 and gpuz. If it was a driver issue you think it would be a consistent issue

Precision X1 should show the correct iCX values - if it doesn't something is wrong that's software related, never seen the values disappear from there unless the driver is corrupted or something.

Are you sure, you two are talking about the same thing?

I also have the 6549°c spikes, but never had gpu-z show 0°c on the sensors.

it is only px1 that is showing 0c on all the sensors. i will double check gpuz temps tomorrow but those were giving me number at least

I have a FTW 3 3090 Ultra too. Px1 normally shows me the most accurate readings but I see some strangeness on there too sometimes. The most often (though still kind of rare) bug I see there are 0 degrees for a split second on the iCX sensors. Sometimes they also spikes to 80ish but that is even more rare. On HWiNFO, I used to get the 6500 degree bug but stopped seeing it after the latest update. I still get erroneous spikes though - usually in the 100-200 C range and very rarely get 0.3 degrees on some sensors. Fans also show like ~3500-4500 RPM spikes occassionally and like 65k for the right fan.

Despite this, I haven't noticed any major oddities with my card and have had mine for several months. I did (and still do) have some funky fan fluctuations going on when I play GTA 5 while OC'ed but I don't think that's related to this.

Sounds like you need to wipe your Precision X1 install & redo it - like I said, you should never be seeing 0C for readouts on Precision X1.  That is an entirely separate issue from the 6500+C false readouts (which is a driver issue).

Like I said, if you want accurate current monitoring of temps, HWInfo64 works - that's what I use to display them in game (in conjunction with Afterburner) - I don't use Precision X1 at all (except to load it when I want to change what's on the OLED display on my Kingpin card).

Alright so PX1 is stilll showing 0c. In GPUz and HWInfo64 temps are normal execpt for MEM3 and PWR5. Both of these are just locked at 125c

I installed a Alphacool Waterblock for my EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming, all was perfect and when I run PX1 the ICX sensors are gone...all except GPU reporting 0 and if I look GPU-Z the PWR5 is on -C nothing more, moreover after some time, GPU-Z crashes, and what is worse, it starts fluctuating again on Core Clocks and Power Target, this didn't even happened on Air. I checked all the thermalpads, all contacts and all seems perfect. This is my third card, I dont' know what to do honestly, never saw this in my life, and never had to go throught this either...

This ended up being a mounting pressure issue for me most likely as remounting my block fixed the issue.
