This launch does feel different in that NVIDIA really rushed their AIBs by providing so little information. I can understand that the initial runs (for all AIBs) may have had more hiccups and defects than previous gpu families. I guess this time around it might be more of a silicon lottery system that involves both upside and downside.

what is up with Newegg, I have been able to place the card in my cart and it remains there but when I go to checkout
at the end of the process it says there are no items to checkout or the item no longer exists. This has happened to me
like 5 times this week. Soo frustrating..

The card must have been there just prior to your placing it in your cart, but someone must have already purchased it and newegg didn't refresh their page. Give 10-15 min and will say out of stock.

After a Thursday that saw the queue move an hour and two minutes, we are currently sitting at 4:15 pm on 10/6.
Hopefully EVGA isn't so focused on overclocking today that they forget to drop some cards for us.

This past Wednesday I was able to snag an EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra from my local Micro Center. My auto-notify sign-up date was 10/07/20 and spot 443. I'll be releasing my spot, hopefully 1 lucky person will get bumped up.
BTW - My card has red lips. :)

ok so got the card installed its the red lip card but honestly my case hides the lips so all good. i did a driver download then uninstalled GeForce experience and precision x. then I used ddu to remove any of the old 2080 card driver info and stuff. popped in new card installed new driver installed GeForce experience and precision x 1.1.1 then loaded up watchdogs legion and assassins creed Valhalla set them both to 4k ultra watchdogs at 4k ultra with ultra raytracing ran about 50 fps guessing ill need some dlss help if i want to run 4k raytracing ultra. assassins creed though 4k 60 everything on ultra and highest settings average 61 fps with 1% in the 40 range but honestly just gonna turn shadows down 1 step and maybe the world objects should get a solid 60.
the games where awesome looking though honestly I'm probably gonna buy a new tv next year once the price breaks a little more for the oleds cause my couple year old Samsung isn't doing the games justice and having a tv that can handle the higher frame rates would be nice plus maybe an upgrade in size to 75 inch. sorry no pics i got to wrapped up in trying to play some ultra 4k assassins creed.
the card is awesome though no issues so far hopefully that is in the past and we are all cool now.

Just to update I now have completed 14 days with some intense VR gaming each day, my 3090 FTW3 Ultra is still rocking along quite happily. Have not seen a single glitch yet. Running a pretty smooth 2100 MHz with my overclock with full power.
It was so worth waiting in the que for.

So My 3090 FTW3 is still in its box. I need to replace my pci cables and I am afraid. So has anyone used a Phanteks 1200 watt revolt-x psu (Seasonic based), with Cablemod full cable replacements for pci with the 3090 FTW3 and not destroy the card???? A seasonic 1000 watt or 1300 watt with cablemod full replacements having a solid experience would count.
Good news.. I have until I get my 3080 step up to open to box and brave this.. cause I will need to send my 2080 Super ftw3 in.

Seasonic 1300W Prime Platinum/Gold or the new 850W-TX/1000W-TX Titanium work perfectly fine with 3000 series cards. In fact one of the cable brands that Seasonic approves is CableMod.

Just wanted to update you all. Received my 3090 FTW3 Ultra today and got it installed. It had the Red Lips. Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled fresh. Same with Precision X1. Made a wonderful addition to my system. Good Luck everyone one one your cards.
P.S. 2 Day shipping from UPS made this really nice. only $40 bucks and with UPS Ground having a case of the I dont know delivery dates I highly recommend it.

You are about just under a week away on the 3987 queue timeline. Here's hoping that queue moves quickly (it should, relative to its past performance, because it is past both windows of congestion: its launch on 9/24 and the day the queue was announced). For your other card, the 3975, that queue is approximately at 10/05/2020 at 20:07:44 -- less than two days away. Your "invite to purchase" email for that card will likely come first (as against the 3987). Would be great if we could move our notify to the FTW ultra from the FTW gaming. I signed up for the FTW gaming prior to the current ultra date and that queue is just not moving at all. It's clear EVGA is not at all prioritizing the gaming variant.
Sucks to be anyone (myself included) who didn't notify for the ultra, wish EVGA had done one FTW queue and one XC queue.
