I'm just glad that I am on the list for the fist full day of the 9/24th. The positive take away is, I know that I will be getting one without the headache of checking everyday at retailers and EVGA does make damn good products to wait for IMO. Without EVGA i wouldn't be inline for the 3090, and I would still be looking and waiting like mostly everyone else anyways. That's kinda my takeaway from all of this. I have waited before for new GPU releases, I remember my EVGA GTX 680 took a couple months to get. But now as soon as I get my email, I will get pretty excited to add the GPU to my new system. Until then I try to forget about it and enjoy what I have.

My que for the 3080xc should pop this week (it's 9/16 3pm) Do you recommend I get that and "step up" or just wait for the 3090 ftw. No one is talking about how large the step up 3090 que is. I fear it may be much larger...EEK! Might as well add me to the list as there is a good chance I will buy it. I have not heard if step-ups are in the same queue based on time of approval, or if they are getting lower priority or what. At least if you get the 3080 XC3 you will have a decent card to use in the interim, and basically it's rent-free since you get the full value when you step up. The Hydro Coppers and Hybrids are not expected until mid-late November (if that), and I expect there will be high demand again, and likely a long wait judging by how things have gone so far. Also there is no guarantee you'll be able to step up to a HC or Hybrid - often they only have the flagship card available for step up, and the HC/Hybrid might not be made available for step up for months, if ever. If you choose step up, make sure you register your card immediately. Also don't forget to use an associate code when purchasing to get 5% off your card! You can find associate codes in the signature of many forum members.
