A month or so would be fine (which in this market seems unrealistic) Just trying to plan it all out. I'm currently running a 3080 (other brand) and would be selling it to make up the difference for the 3070 Ti step-up. I'm weighing between selling the 3080 I have now to maximize the money I'd get (using the 3070 ti in the interim), or gamble waiting the term and then selling the 3080 closer to when the queue gets fulfilled

This is interesting because I also had a step-up time at 8:23AM PST, but did not receive my step 2 yet. Must be by seconds if anything. Well hoping that next week I get my step 2 email!

How many people are really able to step up when you can barely buy a card to begin with and you only get 90 days to do it. Didn't every other card come out 90+ days ago?

The step up definately narrows the eligibility window but I would assume less cards are also set aside for step up. Basically it's the same deal, get in super early or just expect to wait awhile unfortunately.

Yeah I got mine at 8:23 time yet I know there was another with 8:23 that didn’t get an email so it was literally seconds

Might be a while to get to your time as the current time is around 7:42:12 AM PT. Have an auto notify at 7:54:23 AM PT. More Step-Up notifications for the 3080Ti FTW3 will be going out this week! As for your last question are you talking about the Launch Day Edition? Cause that was limited and it's all sold out. You can't step up auto notifications.

So I just got my 3070 Ti FTW3 ULTRA today via the queue system. Is it worth trying to step up to a 3080 Ti or would the wait time be insanely long? I'm fine waiting a month or two as I haven't even gotten all the parts for my build yet and am in no real rush.

Doesn't cost you anything to sign up for it. When/if it hits, you can decide if you want to spend the difference to upgrade or not.

Just trying to decide if I want to step up to the 3080 or 3080 Ti. 3080 is what I would prefer given the price but I know the queue time will be significantly longer too.

I mean the step up queue.
EVGA has shipped out quite a few 3967's through their retail queue during this time. Maybe they have shipped some through the step up queue and there's just quite a few people lined up from 8:23 to 8:27. No way to know if people don't report their step 2 notifications.
I've been waiting since September for a 3080 notification, so I know the drill. Looking forward to it though.

I have no idea if they would do that, but if the regular queue does pop for you, your old card should be really easy to sell. You could find a good home for it locally and save yourself the hassle/cost of shipping it.

Mm, guess I'll see whichever comes first. I can always just sell my current GPU for MSRP if the regular queue comes first and it'll be like the same thing. I'm an hour late on both so it won't be any time soon anyway.

Looks like no movement on step-up or the auto-notify to purchase queues.
I have seen some posts in discords with them on store shelves. So they are out there but just not allocated to the queues yet I guess.
