3080TI Black screens when trying to use. EVGA precision possibly bricked it.

I finally had this card arrive yesterday and figured I would give it a go.. Installed it in my daughter's PC. It worked flawlessly. (She's a big FF fan )  However, once the EVGA Precision software was installed I let it "update the firmware" of the video card. Afterward, I rebooted.. and the card hasn't worked since. It seems EVGA precision has bricked my card. Or the card randomly failed. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to try to avoid an RMA since I can get to a desktop I just can't ask for any 3d clocks?

Crosshair VII, AMD 5800X, 16GB CL14 3600Mhz memory,EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra , 15TB Mechanical Storage 4TB SSD storage, 32inch Samsung Monitor Lian Li O11 Dynamic. EVGA 1600W PSU. Corsair 9 Fans Custom Loop on CPU Corsair block and rez/pump combo.

    Does your card have multiple vbios?

    Yes sir it does. I've tried setting it to both the OCbios and the "normal" bios switches. Both result in black screens when 3d clocks are asked for. 
     
    I even swapped it into my PC and my 3090 into hers just to make sure her power supply was still good. My 3090 works great in her PC. The 3080TI I got does not work in either PC here at the house. I just know everything was fine until EVGA precision did the "firmware" update. It could be a coincidence I suppose as well. Either way it's not working since then.

    No black screens, but I would crash within 30-45 seconds of playing any game, 3dmark testing. Stock settings, both vbios. Installing the nVidia drivers just showed a black screen where those game ads usually appear above the installation status bar. Also happened after Precision ran the firmware update. Contacted EVGA, they approved an RMA no questions asked. 
     
    Just contact EVGA support, they'll help you out.

    Sounds like people who just received their new card, and have just downloaded the new version of px1 should disable the firmware check to prevent bricking... https://forums.evga.com/H...and-ICX2-m3197771.aspx

    is this an issue many are having right now? i just ordered a 3080ti myself and would like to avoid any issues
