^It's because they make more money off the more expensive cards, which still all get sold in an instant. So doesn't make sense to make the cheap ones for now.

Actually your best chance for a card is to probably camp out at a Microcenter. How I got my Rog Strix 3080. Still no guarantee of what you want, but a chance at a card none the less.

I've got a Microcenter near me thankfully, but 20% of people on the line are scalpers or people paid by scalpers to stand on the line and get cards, and a lot of the time they're usually up front in the lines so they're the ones that get the cards rather than actual people who'll use them, which is really sad. There's speculation that there might be a drop on BB at around May 10-11, so be on the lookout for that I guess.

Mondays and Thursday are the best time to wait in line at Microcenter, I have done this twice was around 30 in line both times and got a 3060 and a 3070 each time. I waited 4 hours each time I went but did get cards depends on how bad you want one I guess.

Yes, the line is actually moving. At a snails pace, but it is moving. I got in line twice for a 3080 FTW3; first was on release day at 9am PST. Got my e-mail to buy back in November but passed on it then. Got in line again a second time, not exactly sure when, but received an e-mail to buy just last week.

Depending on where you live in Iowa you have 2 near you. If you live in central Iowa you could go north to St. Louis Park Minnesota (about a 3.5 hour drive) or south west to Overland Park Kansas (also about a 3.5 hour drive). Of the 2 the St. Louis Park store has better drops. That's where I drove 3 hours to get a card. Join the microcenter discord to get a sense of what days the cards come on a truck and best day to go. Also you can only purchase a card once every 30 days and they ID. So that has cut down on the multiple card purchasers tremendously.

Oof, I have heard about the EU backlog / import silliness. It's funny, you can get great watercooling parts, but not the computer parts that need them.

I have been on list for a 3080ftw3 since 9-26-20 also signed up for every other 3080 3090 gpu EVGA makes in Dec of 2020.Nada nothing zip.I check everyday and have tried everyday.It is obvious that EVGA and the other GPU suppliers are selling to miners in bulk for above MSRP and that is why the queue list does not move. It has not moved from 9-21-20 for the 3080ftw3 in months. The fan boys can zip it about how much EVGA cares or is trying to get cards to gamers with the queue ,the queue was created to placate their gamer base.Sorry you wanted good news but there is none.
Exactly. EVGA community should unite to call them out on that bs deception. Either honor the queue or stop lying to us. Not a single card sent to the EU queue but I keep seeing EVGA cards sold for 2-3x higher prices at retailers and such...

I'm still hoping to be able to get into queue. Problem is I don't have any qualifying hardware because of a series of issues I had with 3 different GTX 970s around a decade ago. Here's hoping I can get in soon.

Yeah, functionally I'm not in the EVGA list, so Newegg drops and sheer luck are all I have to hope for. Or a Crypto crash (that isn't coming soon).

I'm guessing they stopped making the cards? I put in my request 9/27/2020 at 9:42pm, its been 8 months and still no notification that i'm getting my card. this is really dumb... my friends have already gotten theres one of my friends got his in Dec. and he put in his request after mine. and my other friend got lucky on amazon and got his card, this whole waitlist thing is a JOKE!! im super pissed that im still waiting and i was in line a LONG time ago. I contacted support for this and all they said was "Your notification was submitted on 9/27/2020 at 9:42:25 PM PT and we have not yet gotten to your turn in the queue. The queue is proceeding as intended, in the order requests were received. Please keep in mind that each model has it's own separate queue, so if someone queued for a different model and has already received their product, this would not reflect a different product availability." this was on 3/21/2021 btw. I don't think i will ever get mine tbh cause they have NO CLUE how there wait list even works. people are also selling theres for $3000 and there is NO way i'm buying it for that price so i'm thinking about giving up and hoping to get it in a couple years. anyways hope this was helpful to anyone that is still waiting.
