Has there been any word (official or leak) about the 3080 Ti lineup? Current rumors state at least one AIB is shipping units to retailers to gear up for release and an announcement from team green is imminent. I haven’t seen anything from EVGA as of yet. I have all of my gear for a brand new build except for the GPU. I figure it’ll be easier to get a 3080Ti now and put the extra saved over the 3090 towards a next gen card next year. Hopefully these 3080Ti cards will also go to Elite first. Work has kept me busy and I’ve missed the past couple streams so I apologize if this info is out there. I did search here but did t find anything.

Please keep in mind that NVIDIA has not officially confirm the existence of the 3080ti, so EVGA cannot comment on hearsay and rumors.

Thank you. Hopefully there’ll be a hybrid version at the same time, or immediately soon after.

My guess is msrp will be around $1000 for FE cards and AIB cards will be $1100-$1400.  Of course they'll be on Ebay minutes later for $2500+.

Lots of rumblings about Nvidia releasing a new iteration the Ampere GPU cores (eg GA102 -> GA102*) with actual hardware level changes to limit mining efficiency, potentially even starting with the 3080 Ti.

Tom's Hardware UK site has an article showing a photo of MSI 3080TI Ventus pallet.

That's about all we have right now.

Will it release in May? Or is this just MSI trolling?

We won't know for sure until we hear from the horses mouth aka Nvidia.

We can speculate all we want, but I know for me... i'm gonna be watching like a hawk for an EVGA release. At this point i probably have a better chance at a 3080Ti vs a 3080 now that I know what I have to look forward to if I don't try for Day 1

this comment itself is basically proof that it's coming for those that can read between the lines.

I see aib pricing landing around 1200 since tarrifs and current 3080s are 800-1000. I could be wrong but that's just my guess.

You have an entire line of products you can't keep on the shelves, you are hitting all time record sales of any quarter in your company. I've heard January, February, April, now May? Pictures, company FCC registrations...

Why do people still think they would release a card at this time. It's all just clickbait for advertisements.

This is good news. I've been rather discouraged to be stuck in queue hell. I've had all the computer parts sitting beside my desk for 2 months now without the GPU. Money isn't really the issue however I refuse to support scalpers so if this Ti rumour is legit, and EVGA does another one of their queue launches for it, I'll see about booking a couple of hours off work to be ready to pull the trigger on day 1!

Won't happen any time before an Nvidia press conference.

EVGA will still just be selling most of their video cards straight to mining organizations and then retailers. Only the first 10 people in the queue are ever going to see anything from it this year.

The rest of it is all propaganda and lies.

That is some pretty bitter sauce right there. EVGA, or any other card manufacturer, isn't going to screw over their primary customer base like that. Why? It has nothing to do with being nice and gamer-friendly, it has to do with simple economics.

Let's say you are EVGA and you sell all your cards to miners! You make all the monies in the world. Yay. MONIES!!!!; But just to keep the peasants happy you sell to10 to gamers to keep up appearances and leave the rest in the queue. You get a bad rep (especially when the truth comes out, and it always does). But who cares? Your quarterly profits are through the roof and shareholders are happy and everyone is living on a yacht.

BOOM. The sonic boom of reality kicks in.

Next year Crypto Mining is no longer a sustainable "business" model because of regulation, implosion, the strain on power grids or the environment, whatever. Miners are no longer buying your super high-end cards. That's okay because you have a ton of gamers salivating at the mouth so you turn back to your primary consumer.

But wait, you've damaged your public brand by selling to Crypto miners. Gamers are a fickle breed. If you piss on their boots they will remember longer than an elephant and the stigma associated to your company is such that it will impact your bottom line.

I did it myself. I was looking at buying an Audi; went into the dealership knowing I could pay cash for whatever I wanted (within reason). The guy who attended me must have thought I couldn't afford one because I was wearing jeans and a button-down so basically ignored me and sluffed off my questions. After about 20 minutes I told him he had just lost a cash sale to his competitor, the Mercedes dealership across the street. Audi a great car, but the brand has been tarnished in my eyes. I purchased my brand new C300 and when I took delivery I made sure to drive through the Audi lot and wave while I laughed maniacally.
