Hi there!
Long-time EVGA card owner, first-time problem!
I'm hoping you guys can help me out.
I _FINALLY_ got the notification from on-high that I could order my dream card, the 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. I installed it, updated the drivers, opened up HWInfo and figured I'd put it through it's paces starting with some Overwatch. Played for maybe a minute when there was a loud snap and crazy clack clack clack at high speed coming from the radiator
. Did an emergency shutdown and wanted to die when I saw the broken fan blade (see pics below, if you can stomach it
).
I'm not ruling out that I did something to cause this, but I'm wondering if the fan already had a crack in it, as I couldn't find anything that could have obstructed it in the case? Nothing was tangled in it and there were no wires or obstacles around and like I said, it had been running for a short time before all hell broke loose. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. What do I do now? This is my first time with a hybrid card and it's BY FAR the most I've spent on a GPU, so I'm not going to try and run it sub-optimally. Do I make an RMA request? I really really would dread losing the card for who knows how long just to replace a radiator fan. Doe's EVGA cross-ship parts like this? Am I just SOL here?
Can't believe I waited months to get my hands on the holy grail and now I'm back on my old system. Bleh.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
