I would also like to know when the 3080ti notify list will be available.

Any answer about when the notify list will become available?

I have a Rift S in my household but to be honest, the refresh rate and resolution of that headset are not that demanding. A 2070 Super (or similar -- 1080ti,  5700xt, etc) can max out most games when using a Rift S.
So if you have recommendations on a higher resolution headset than Rift S, please let me know.

I upgraded from the Rift S to the Valve Index. That's a nice upgrade in terms of resolution and FOV. And the Index is a very polished product.

Now I also bought a Reverb G2. The resolution is twice the index. For VR, the visual clarity is mindblowing. The FOV is a lower than the Index, it's more like the Rift S. It's not as polished a product as Index or Rift S.

I have the reverb g2 also. Wouldn't have gone with any other hmd. FS2020 is the killer app for vr not games that require razor sharp tracking.

Hope to be in queue for a 3080Ti instead of a 3080 step up.

"Msrp" of the 3080ti is $999. Aib cards will be higher but I don't think past $1250.

In a normal world, yes... but, supply and demand is a thing, so if you can sell your AIB cards (3080Ti) for $1400-$1500, why would you only sell them for $1250? This is basically a 3090 without the unnecessary extra VRAM... so, paying near $1500 for an AIB version beats the $1500 you would have to pay (if you could actually get one) for an FE 3090... sad truth my friend, but the sooner you accept it the better off you'll be...

$999 sounds reasonable for the 3080Ti FE... if there is one. I would expect AIBs to charge $1100-1300, but anything less is going to be great and impossible to get a hold of.

$1100 would be a STEAL in the current market for this card (if all rumors turn out to be true)... it's essentially just a 3090 with 12GB of VRAM....

I doubt there will be any FE edition this time around tbh, also I doubt we will see prices of 999 since people are willing to pay so much these days.

I'm able to run a mining script in the background while playing most games, even with power draw lowered for efficiency (the hash rate simply drops during that period).

Some of us had accounts for years. But not a single post in the forums.

That grind is now done. Now I wait so I can wait in line for the 3080ti or whatever else is available.

I hunga for cowabunga!

I don't care if someone joins and makes reasonable posts, but I'm seeing people make 100 super short posts in 12 hours since joining.  These people are most likely setting up bot accounts.

I remember when the 3090s were $1700 - $1900 and I thought that was too insane. Now they’re $3500 or greater. A good alternative seems to be to go with a custom build. I was able to score a 5900x with a 3080 and 4000 mhz ram for under $4k. If you want to get a GPU close to MSRP, that seems to be the only way. Of course there were problems with my rig. But I simply RMA’d the cooler and case fans and installed my own since those components are the only components that won’t break the bank and can be acquired for a reasonable price.

that is insane. I just built 5900x on B550 Aorus, 32 GB 4000MHz GSKILL, couple samsung SSDs and Noctua for about 1800 EUR.

Now the only way to get hold of a GPU is to know people who import cards to your country. Basically no mortal can get hold of it, even if you are willing to pay 2.5k for 3080

Did you get your 5900x to run the memory at 4000? I couldn’t even get mine to boot over 3600 while OC.

We managed to run it on 3833 and so far it runs stable. You had probably bad luck on your CPU. I'm wondering if new bios version will help to go beyond this threshold.

I'm so hyped for the 3080Ti... so many naysayers said it would never be released. I literally have all the other components for a new build apart from the graphics card.

Yeah, the new accounts desperately trying to hit 100 posts is annoying. They should make it so you've had to have your account 3 months minimum. Freaking vultures.

Also want the Ti but kinda bummed was expecting 16gb of memory.Anyways good luck with getting a 3080ti. The B-stock got snatched up by bots yesterday so this sign up for a card seems pointless.

I'm the owner of a 2080 ti.  The amount of effort to get a 3080 vs. what its performance increase vs 2080 ti doesn't seem worth it.  The 3090 looks awesome but not at that price.  IMHO the 3080 Ti will be the sweet spot.  I'm just hoping I'll get it.  (no Microcenter anywhere in the bay area anymore)

I'm really hoping not. From what people are saying it will be a toned down 3090.

Even if the Microcenter in Santa Clara still existed, it would likely not have much stock for the amount of people here who would want one. However, I did find my 3070 in a Central Computers and several of them had 3070s/3090s before the new years. I'm hoping to get a 3080Ti from either EVGA or physical retail store.
