Hello all, I keep getting this error whenever I try to load into a game and itll stop responding. The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video3 Error occurred on GPUID: 100 The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table I've tried just about everything and I don't know what else to do. Here's my system info, GPU-Z, and the GPU-Z log showing the mem used right before the crash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you look in device manager and see if you are getting any device errors?

Post your GPU-z screen shot, but do not do so as a picture. Just post the link, and break it up a little, and I will put it back together. You haven't had enough posts for links to work for you, even though you have had an account for about 5-1/2 years.

It would help other members help you if there were more details. What game are you talking about? Is it just the one game or any game you try? Are you using the latest graphics driver or at least something recent? Did you use DDU before installing the graphics driver? https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-

It looks like your GPU is not being utilized at all according to this picture. is your Display plugged into your GPU, or into your motherboard? If it is plugged into your motherboard, make sure to move the cable over to your GPU, and see if that makes any difference. You also stated that you just purchased a RM1000x yesterday for this GPU, is this GPU a new addition to your build, or did you need to upgrade an older PSU?

My monitor is plugged into the 3080. This is idle when on the desktop. I’ll post another of it in-game before it crashes. The PSU and GPU were both bought this week.

Open two instances of GPU-z, keep one on the home page, and one of the sensor tab. On the GPU-z instance with the home page, click the ? mark to see if the card will open and maintain clocks with the render test, so that you can see the sensors as the clocks fluctuate and if the GPU crashes when it loads the test.

Also, whenever I try to load into a game, the memory used slowly climbs up to 9600 and then the crash occurs.

Which games are you playing, and are you running any other software in the background while trying to play? (iCue, precision x1, afterburner, led controls, anything)

Could you try running a couple of benchmarks, like Heaven, 3D Mark, and see if you get the same type of crashes in benchmarks or if it is just a game engine issue?

It may be a game engine issue if rust is the only one doing it. What other games have you tried?

Only other game i've tried is CSGO but its not that intensive. My 1080 can run Rust just fine so I don't understand how I can fix this.

Did you look at my post #8? I don't see any responses to it yet. If you didn't use DDU when changing out your new GPU, you should.

Krat0z Yes, I used DDU.
Ok good. Test by lowering your GPU and Memory clocks with PX1 or MSI AB whichever you're using. Set the GPU clock to -50MHz and Mem clock to -200MHz. See if the issue is resolved. Are you using an XMP profile for your Ram? If so, test with ram set to stock clocks. Do these two tests by themselves to rule each out.

Something else to check unless you already know for sure. If Fast Startup in the BIOS is enabled, disable it. If Fast Boot is enabled in the Windows power options, disable it and reboot.

I’ll do all these when I get home in an hour, and fast startup is definitely on. I saw it yesterday while I was updating my BIOS. What kind of issues could this cause?

Here's a good video that gives a decent idea about Fast Startup in the BIOS. -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdi9c1tsRQU Fast Boot in Windows Power options is something to disable as well.

None of this worked, tried underclocking and turned fast boot off in both windows and bios Here was my log during trying to load into a game https://imgur.com/a/aKe2rhX

Just to verify here. You did a system restart after turning off fast boot in Winows? You set your system ram to stock? No XMP profile. Did you underclock your GPU's memory clock by 200 to test? One other thing to try. Launch the Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > select the Program Settings tab > select the game you're having the issue with and scroll down to Power Management Mode and select Prefer Max Performance. Then test.

Still nothing and yes I restarted, no ram xmp or overclock just stock. Also tried turning gpu down like you said. It's weird though whenever this happens my VRAM on my GPU goes up to 9.6/10Gb then the game crashes. Also looks like GPU load drops to zero but clock stays up
