3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming Bricked after Mandatory Firmware update randomly fails

So updated X1 today and was greeted with the fact I must update my firmware to continue. I clicked ok. Firmware updated started then it said Failed. Please Try again. Tried again. Failed. Please Try again. Needless to say an endless cycle of fails. But what did happen is now my RGB is dead, Fans running at 100% and Red LED lights at each of the power ports are lit up. Reading the others I am going to assume I need to RMA but if anyone has any advice I would love to hear.
 
Software that should be harmless instead breaks a card so now I have to pay shipping costs to correct the mistake your software caused.

    I'd explain it to support and ask them to send you a prepaid label for the return....

    the update today had an eeprom error updating the firmware via x1
    said don't reboot the machine,contact support.

    well, power failures are a !@#!# so. 


    bricked card.
