My 3080 let go this week.
Bought it in July, only started really using it for the past month.
Great card, running at stock on a rock solid Asus Crosshair VIII.
started to spit out colored pixelation followed by crashing every game I tried except Half Life 2.
I am so bummed. Tried all the usual measures. The gpu is the culprit.
Getting RMA, no issues. GPU is on the way back.
Anyone know the turnaround?

Ryzen 3700X, Asus Crosshair VIII, 32 GB Corsair Vengence, EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra. Corsair 7000D.

Which country do you live in? That makes a HUGE difference.

Depends on when it arrives @ EVGA ... maybe 4 or 5 days After EVGA gets your card, depends on their RMA queue & inventory

Yes I saw that GIANT RED print at the top of the page about Thanksgiving.
I was more specifically asking if anyone with recent experience RMA-ing a 3080 had any information to share.....
Common sense will tell you it depends on how busy the people are and how much work is before my RMA.
My concern is the stock of 3080s in the RMA pile available to draw from.

Thats right....over 30 days old your replacement will be a "re-built used" Card. Not bad for $2000.00 CDN
Turnaround from Vancouver Island Canada 2 weeks start to finish....just have to cross your fingers the "used/re-built Card" actually is good and not another lemon requiring yet another RMA....I have seen multiple RMA's on RMA's....

Yikes......I just want one that works....and stays that way!
I have to credit evga. Thus far good service. That and I bought my 3080 FTW from the only place that sells them.....eBay; and it got a full warranty. Thats a good thing.
Only thing Ive RMA tio evga was an X58 Classic motherboard, my return was warped but did work.

Yes I had Evga Motherboards thru X58, including Classified, got frustrated with a "Cold Boot" issue on the X58 vanilla board....X58 Classified Board was fine, but from X79 thru to now I only go with Asus Rampage / Maximus boards...no issues, as far as Asus customer service goes only had to reach out once and it was painless.
Really hoping this used RMA Card I get is a good one that indeed works longer than 3 months.....!!!
In 18 yrs of building and haunting this forum since 2008, I have never seen so many GPU's failing...as in the 30xx FTW3 line-up.........guess we shall see...fingers crossed!

Well, I have only had 1 other gpu fail ever.
My experience dates back to Voodoo cards.
Im approaching this issue with low hopes.
If you get a refurb back for your RMA, that means its already been broken once.
I game a bit in the winter months.
    I enjoy it.
I hope my RMA will be ok, well see. I hope this just isnt a ticket on the night train.

Thats right.....certainly not in coach either ,,,,,expensive ticket ;)

I game but not hard core...my job has me away on a ship for 4 weeks at a time....followed by 4 weeks off at home...so you can see that having the Card since 24 Aug means very little actual uptime w this particular GPU...many of the 28 days Im at home I dont even turn my PC on...a lengthy gaming session for me is maybe 3 hrs tops!

I am pretty sure most of the refurbs sent out for RMA are from the step-up program and not just fixed RMA cards.
Unless it is a 3090 since I doubt there is much to step up to from a 3090.

Well, there is nothing to step up to from a 3080.....except maybe a fancier 3080....So chances are youre going to get a fixed 3080.

Just a heads up....for Canucks on here ....entire process from the time I shipped the defective Card until received a replacement at my door was exactly 9 days (total not business).

For CDN's: Dont bother even considering Purolator, Fedex or UPS for shipping to Brea, you will get lost in the Customs paperwork those carriers require and you will blow a gasket when you see the cost (I was quoted $250 CDN).
Go thru Canada Post, just go to the CP website, go to International Shipping and there will be a very simple PDF to fill out for Customs. Fill it out and click the link, you will then be directed to a completed Customs form with a bar code, simply print it and take it to the nearest Post Office.
They will scan the bar code, thats it, $97 Express Shipping, Vancouver Isle to Brea, Cal was exactly 5 days, painless!

RMA replacement came in a decent Evga generic box (not the original retail box, properly packed in anti static bag), obviously no accessories.
No additional Customs or Brokerage fees associated.

Card looks ok visually, definitely used, but the only way to tell is the screw marks on the mounting bracket at the end of the Card and of course no plastic film on anything, other than that looks great.

Tomorrow I will pop it in another "test rig" I have and ensure it boots up and runs fine.
Unfortunately I have to go back to work for a month (away) so will have to wait until I get back to re-install the Vector Block....I am curious to see if there is any "signs of repair" on the PCB when I disassemble it.

    Cheers

Yeah.  I forgot about the Ti.
I suppose the 3090 would be the bigger temptation.
At present there is no step up for the 30 series family of cards.

I just hope I get as lucky as Mr Barker......BTW the card you got was a 3080 Ultra right?

Well, my RMA has been concluded.
The replacement is on it's way to me as of last night.
    So......RMA issued 22 NOV
Sent via FedEx Ground 23 NOV
Received at EVGA 30 NOV, RMA process notification received 1 DEC
Replacement card was sent out 3 DEC and due to be at my address 10 DEC

The process was very painless.  Its just long because I am on the opposite coast.
    Its awful using a 10 year old Radeon 6870 as a stand-in.....
Here's to winning the RMA lottery and getting a card back with no issues!!

Appreciate the fine EVGA service I got from start to finish.  I just wish at some point I'd get a report on what went wrong with the GPU itself.

Not always as step-up cards sent to EVGA get put into the RMA pool not just into b-stock.
