I just got my 3060 ti step up and was messing around with a few games. The first night on control I got like 140 fps running the max settings. The next day I go to play I'm getting 80 in the same spot. I could not figure out what was happening(and I tried to change a few things everywhere and then change them back)so I just said eff it. I read the msi game boost setting can mess it up so I disabled it.

Also I noticed in bf5 I'm getting lower fps. While playing ac Valhalla my GPU won't ever stay at one usage it goes from like 98% to 94 to 96 to 98 and just constantly goes up and down and my fps goes up and down. And I'm not moving. Idk it seems like a power issue. Idk my psu is only 6 months old but I guess it could be ****ting out, maybe it's low its 650 I thought I was good(and was before with the 1660 ti, and I thought this gave me a little room). I've never had it happen so idk the tell tale signs.. I didn't do a clean install of windows I just did a clean install of the Nvidia drivers. I was thinking maybe its something else and i should just try to clean install windows anyways

I5 10600k
Msi MPG z490 gaming edge wifi
Samsung 980 pro 2 tb 16 gb gskill 3600 c16
Evga 3060 ti few Phanteks amp 650 gold

I usually use MSI afterburner but switched to EVGA x1 to do the firmware and make sure my reBAR was enabled. Idk. I could try a power cable. But any help would be great. I know I should he happy with my fps as it's still playable but I just feel like if there's and issue I'd like to sort it out. Ty in advance

Have you checked your temperatures, maybe your GPU is overheating and going into safe mode?

Temps never go above 70. On 3dmark it usually sticks at 98 to 99 percent usage but there's quite a few spots(magnifying glass parts)where tit goes to 30 fos and 40% usage.

I just fresh installed windows and no luck. Temps still fine. What's wierd is if I under clock by -500 core and -500 memory it gets like 80 percent usage vs 55 and I get a little better fps. It just feels like it's not getting enough power. Idk. I put in a ticket.

Have you overclocked, try to restore the default frequency.
The power supply rated power or ripple factor is too large, causing the graphics card to work abnormally.Reduce the operating frequency of the graphics card, so that the graphics card can work stably, of course, the performance of the graphics card will decrease

I have never OC it. It does its own boost thing so. I did run the oc tuner on msi afterburner. Does that auto change it? How do I get it to go back to absolute factory settings ? I might have accidently applied the oc tuner. Idk. Im I'm using x1 now. Could the firmware update have anything to do with it. It has been running better tonight. Maybe its just ubisoft games. Idk. I haven't had enough time to test different stuff out. But getting the gpu back to stock clock's would be great if I messed something up.

There should be an option at the bottom left of the afterburner main screen that says something like "enable overclock at startup" you move your mouse to the little light and click it to turn that feature off. Then when you restart it should stay stock. Another option is to just click "reset" and then "apply"
