received gpu yesterday and a little concerned. box it was shipped in had no bubble wrap or peanuts in for spacing or protection. opened the gpu retail box and pulled out the gpu and plastic encasing. the gpu had busted through the plastic and the end plate with the connection ports was bent clearly had been bouncing and banging around in shipping. hoping for no issues will be installing on Friday. was very surprised evga shipped like this. box it was shipped in was just a little longer than the gpu retail box but almost twice as wide with no packing.

My queue position for the 3060 12GB [3657] (9:38:16 am 25 Feb 2021) just came up at 10:30am PST today.
Order placed, order confirmation received, but no shipping confirmation yet. (did not sign up for spreadsheet, but still wanted to share the news, and Thank Enewt for the code, every bit helps. :))
I would have preferred the 3060ti, but even the non-ti should still be a huge upgrade over my venerable GTX 670 4GB (and I'm still in the queue for the ti, so I still have that option in maybe 2022 :)). Might not be good enough for CP2077 Ultra, but I still have a decent size backlog of games with more reasonable requirements that ran horribly on the 670, but should run great on the 3060, and looking forward to re-playing some classics with better settings.

I forget when the 3060ti order queue started, but if it was 12/1, then you are probably in better shape than a lot of us that wanted a ti (my queue position was evening of launch day, so I'm not expecting my queue spot to come up til winter or next year) Probably not what you want to hear, but the 3060ti is based off the same chip as the 3070. Nvidia uses chips that are not quite good enough to be 3070s for the 3060ti, but if the chip yields for the 3070 are good, then that translates to less chips for 3060ti cards, and since we are already in a chip shortage that ends up making the 3060ti to be even rarer than 3070s. For the chips that EVGA does get for 3060ti supply, they are likely to prioritize the higher end models of those unless they have a contractual obligation with Nvidia for specific quantities of MSRP level cards. The 3060 (non-ti), which is what I ended up setting for uses a different chip than the 3060ti and 3070. Although it is a good bit less powerful, it is also a smaller chip, so they can get greater yield per wafer on the vanilla 3060s. If you are in the queue for a vanilla 3060, or any 3070, those will probably move much faster than the 3060ti queue. If you are not in those queues, expect a long wait and/or try things like the newegg shuffle or the public bots that give drop notifications.

Would it help move things along if I volunteered to go and mine the materials needed to make my GPU? Cause at this point I"m pretty much willing to source the raw materials and build it myself!!! How about a line of cards that will not have the ability to be used for mining? Let's flip this around and provide cards for people that want to do everything but mine....like gaming, pic and video workflow, any task that people rely on the cards to make a living.
Let the miners figure out a way to get the mining done, even if it takes them 10 times as long.
Is that selfish to think this way? I don't believe so.

So Enewt, I am keeping up on the queues even though I have my 3070 as I am waiting for a 3060 for my daughter. Just read your story about riding home with your daughter in the car playing music. It was very entertaining. I just wanted to say I am sorry you missed out on the HC Kingpin queue brotha! If anyone on the forums deserves to be first in that queue it's you!
