So this comment is unhelpful, shows you didn't really read the point of my message (which was that "there's a lot of variables at play here", including, my yes, hopeful notion of life starting to head back to normalizing with a vaccine around 6 months), and are just trolling for no purpose. I get everyone is frustrated, but unless you have something valuable to contribute on the topic, which was by the way trying to be HELPFUL and give some context and variables for thinking through timing and the spreadsheets, so mind your own business.

FYI - As of right now, Newegg has been doing some slow, unannounced drops on their combos... I gotta hock a $150 mobo on ebay now and lose out on some $$, but I'm a card owner... :)

Why not return it to Newegg? I got a combo Asus 3060ti from Newegg a week ago. It was in combo with an Asus motherboard($250) that I will return to Newegg after Christmas. The scalpers do not go for expensive combos(they do not want to keep their money stuck) and I think you have a chance of getting one if you chose to F5 :-) an expensive combo.

Yeah, the language they use on the combo sales is a tad dodgy, but I'll hold out hope that I can just pay the return shipping and miss out on the YUGE $10 savings I received on the combo purchase, lol... Either way, got stuck with a way overpriced Asus model (2x Fan OC, 469! lol) but at this point, whatever... at least the market value of my 1660 is fairly high for resale. :) Edit: Verified, you MUST return ALL items, not just one or the other. eBay it is!

I finally got a RTX 3070 off Newegg today. It's a Zotac Gaming Twin Edge OC. Though I had to pay an extra $100 since it's part of a combo with 2 RAM sticks. I may need it when I build a computer for my Dad. My journey is almost over, and I'll remove myself once the card arrives. Sad that I wanted an EVGA card and it's the reason I came here, but it is what it is.

Here is how to get your card. 1. Reply to the invite to purchase email you received. ordernotify@evga.com. Express your desire to buy the card. 2. Call customer service first thing tomorrow after 9 am PT when they open. They will send you a new email with a new link to buy your card (it won't be immediate but should be tomorrow). Keep an eye out. 3. Post back here tomorrow if anything goes sideways. 4. Buy your card. 5. Enjoy your card. P.S. It may feel that way, but as I understand it board manufacturers actually make far less profit on the MSRP baseline cards (close to break even or sometimes even a loss that has to be subsidized by Nvidia/AMD), and have much more incentive to produce variants with better/quieter cooling (like the FTW3 and FTW3 ultra) - those differentiate themselves from the Founders Edition cards (although current gen FE cards seem quite good on sound and thermals from the reviews) and also have better profit margins, so EVGA has more financial incentive to make and sell those in higher volume than the XC (but I think they have a contractual obligation to Nvidia to make a certain minimum number of MSRP cards) The FTW3 vs FTW3 ultra is a lot harder to speculate on. It might be that since the Ultra has the factory OC, it might need a slightly higher silicon quality and that might be a bottleneck for production on the early runs, but that's just a speculative guess. In theory, as more and more people just take whatever they can get, that will indirectly reduce the EVGA queue size (some will probably buy and scalp, but hopefully a minority). The EVGA Step-Up program is a large reason why I'm content to just bide my time int he queue - I'm fairly certain the 2060ti will be great for Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p, (my reason for upgrading), but the memory is still a concern if/when I decide to upgrade my monitor to 1440p, so if Nvidia releases a mid-range (sub 500, ok, maybe willing to spend a bit more than that in current market) card with 10 or 12 GB VRAM in the next couple months (after I finally get a chance to purchase), then I like knowing that I can step up to that (and if they don't I'm still getting a solid card that I should be happy with for 2-4 years of gaming).

The data in the sheets has errors. The owners try to fix them. The next day they have errors again. I appreciate their effort, but...and this is a difference in philosophy...I think following the timeline rather than trying to create ordinal positions (based on end user self-reporting) for mainstream skus is a mistake.
