So I am about 30 seconds away from getting an 3080ti ftw3 ultra but really wanted the hybrid SKU. Should I go ahead and buy it once I'm able to and resell it at MSRP or lower depending on how long it takes for the hybrid SKU to come into my email. I'm 4 minutes out on the hybrid which is really like months at this point, but not giving up. Not in a rush to buy a new GPU as I already have a 2070 super but I would like to upgrade and would like to help someone near by get there hands on a new GPU for around MSRP.

Sane brain: If you're not in a rush, why not wait to get what you actually want? That allows another to buy at MSRP. 😇
Current market brain: Buy the 3080ti, sell the 2070 super ASAP for maximum profit, buy hybrid and resell 3080ti. 👿

Thats exactly what I would do, and am doing with my 3080ti hybrid as I am holding out hope for a 3080ti HC myself then will resell my 3080ti.

Considering the hybrid queue hasn't moved at all, or maybe a few seconds since launch, get the one that's available to you. You can always buy the hybrid kit, or resell when the hybrid is available to you.

Correct, the card has to be shipped back in factory configuration on a RMA.

I did exactly that. Bought air cooled card and converted. It's a little difficult to remove the heatsink because it's stuck pretty good with the thermal puddy and pads. Just have to be patient. Maybe heat it some with a hair dryer. I suspect that has caused some failures at least.

Alright after most of you yelling at me to just buy the kit and watching installation videos that's what I will do. I enjoy taking things apart and building stuff like Legos so why not. Just needed a few of you to convince me.

It is worth it trust me, click the link Kram posted, the one i have is for the 3080ti vanilla and xc3 only. Dude the FTW3 comes with the hybrid kit installed 🤣 oh man, let me facepalm myself🤦♂️

I feel what the OP is feeling as well. I really want the Hybrid, but am not that far from the standard ftw3.
And yes I could get it then the hybrid cooler, but that would cost about $70 more and once converted to Canuckistan money, I'm looking at about $100 more than just getting the Hybrid.
Come on evga, just sell us all the Hybrids until you get through the first couple hundred in queue at least.
