Currently I use 2x EVGA 1070 with a 3 slot GeForce GTX SLI HB Bridge.
Will the 3 slot GeForce GTX SLI HB Bridge ALSO work with 2x 2070 Super or the upcoming 3080 /3070?
It seems a waste to have to buy a new bridge, but it looks like they are NOT the same?
 
NVLink uses a different physical bridge configuration and connector compared to SLI?

    No the 10 series was the last to use standard sli bridge, starting with the 20 series they switched to Nvlink bridges instead and 2 way nvlink bridges are all that can be bought as of right now.

    Thanks for confirming that.  I was not 100% sure.
    I will Ebay my HB bridge along with the cards.
     
    The good news is that it looks like EVGA gives me a discount when I buy 2x 2070 super and a bridge at the same time.
    so it stings a little less in the wallet.

    IMO you would be much better off to purchase a single 2080ti instead of x2 2070 Supers. SLI is pretty much dead...

    Yeah and if you use someones associate code you can get even more of a discount as well.

    I am having serious thoughts of NOT using NVLink at all since it looks like game support seems to be almost non existent.
    maybe a 2080ti instead of  2x 2070 Super IS the better option.
    I cannot even find a list of games that SUPPORT NVLink!

    Mostly its hard to find a true list its usually better if your interested in a game just check it out and see if it will use the sli/nvlink technology right from the manufacturer home page for the game.

    Correct 1 powerful GPU is Generally better .... unless your playing a game that will "scale with SLI"
