Hey Gang,

So this is weird: I had one of the first iterations of the 2080’s purchased in October that failed in Jan, RMA’d and replaced by EVGA no fuss and a quick turnaround. It was a perfect example of why we are all here, exemplary service. I was very please with the new one, not a single hiccup since and blessedly free of coil whine.

However, last weekend my monitor started randomly going into sleep mode, as if it’s not getting a signal from the card. On each reboot that period of time before loss of signal gets shorter and shorter. For example, I tried using the windows repair by shutting down 3 times, by the 3rd it loses signal before the auto repair comes up. The only way I found to start that clock over again is to Powercycle the PSU, which will give me about 3-4 minutes of desktop before the count down begins again. Thought maybe it’s a power issue but the 12v appears stable during the window that I have. So I Picked up an Amazon “30 day loaner” and low and behold, Zero issues. So it’s definately the GPU. Any ideas??

New build pending....
