The power limit on a ftw 3 starts at a higher power limit. The slider adding +24 is in addition to the higher base power limit increase.

Increasing the power limit does not mean it will constantly use +30% power. It will use what it needs to be stable, up to that power limit.

As you start overclocking it will start using more power.
