I also just experience this issue myself. I just reseated card. No dirt or dust inside card and updated the drivers. About a month now this seems to be happening. I even have the cover off the side of the case and its still happening and its really hot to touch. I barely play any games other than audio editing for now. Everything I have is set to default and not overclocked this machine or pushed it too its limits.

Thanks
Joe

    Hello,

It is still Happening. HWM temp seems to be MAX out at 80 and I am not seeing anything else out of the ordinary.

80 wouldn't cause issues. We don't have nearly enough info to help.
Need to know exactly what parts are in your build. How big your power supply is.have you ever done a full DDU driver wipe?
We need a better idea of what's happening? Does it happen under load? At idle? When its raining?
Basicly we need much more detail

    Sorry,

Basically as soon as you walk away from the machine even at night it seems to want to run at almost full speed. It has woke me up but before you can move the mouse and wake the monitor up its already slowed down.  When you are working at the machine everything is smooth and perfect. I notice this more at night when I am trying sleep. I had to take the glass off the side since it was hot to touch. I have noticed this for at least a month now and it seems to slowly get worse?

With this all said I did a full DDU driver wipe. Updated Bios drivers and reseated the card. I also blew out dust but there wasn't anything. Also there are 2 separate power cables going to the video card.

    Sorry,

I was just following up on the thread since I thought I had the same issue as the other person did.

Any of the monitoring tools. EVGA Precision, Cfosspeed, Backblaze, Steam , Icue, Teamviewer, Windows Security, Snagit, Weather watcher, Dragon Center, Dymo label writer. I have tried turning this all off and closing all of my windows from Firefox without any luck either.

Only at night when not using the pc? Sounds like some virus on your machine is only firing up when the machine is idle.

I just got back from a family outing and it seems that it was idling when I was gone at 60C once I sat down I moved the mouse woke up the monitor and it slowly cooled down 56c not hot to touch with heat coming off of it. It doesn't make sense to me and it was great until recently.

    Thanks all for the help!
