So here's my issue. I got a 2080S shipped to me and when I received it, I waited a while before taking my 1080 out and putting in the 2080S. Well here's the kicker... my mobo doesn't seem to "recognize" or see it when plugged into my pcie x16 slot that my 1080 was plugged into. The 1080 is instantly found and has a light indicating that its working when I slap it into the pcie slot. I have a z270 tomahawk artic running a 7700k and they are very compatible from what I've seen. I've tried drivers, restarting, swapping pcie slots and cables and everything. I can't change it to another computer because I only have the 1. Could the possibility of being sent a DOA card be a good probability buying it from reddit? I've registered it to myself now, so if I have to rma it shouldn't be that hard correct? I'm not 100% sure because I've had my 1080 turbo for like 4 years and it's worked well for me. Any help would be awesome. I've tried the cmos reset and everything excluding a full pc reformat (which would take days to reinstall all my crap. Could I be missing something or the cold weather the other week (colorado) could have killed the 2080S in transit? TIA
