Hello there,

I have a 2080 TI FTW3 ULTRA that can't seem to handle anything at High/Maximum settings for very long. I keep on getting errors like DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG and dxgkrnl.sys full system crashes in memory dumps pointing to the graphics card being "unavailable" for the games that causes them to crash.

I have followed this guide:

I've updated the firmware on the card, the MOBO fw is up to date, using the latest NVIDIA driver.
I uninstalled using the DDU, I did the windows clean boot, Debug mode, under-clocked with Precision X1, re-seated the RAM
I got all the way up to the point of replacing my power supply with a new EVGA 850 GA Gold+ from a 750w and the problem still persists.

I'm at my wits end, it's obnoxious having to turn my games down to minimum on a card that was king only a year and some ago.

Open to suggestions and providing further information if that will help.

Thanks.

EDIT: I have a 1080 in another build that I have swapped just to test if there is something else in the PC that may be causing this issue, but it has been able to handle all the games that the 2080 was crashing on so far with no issue.

Sounds like the card is defective since the other one works without issues.

It sounds like you might have yourself a defective card. I'd probably contact EVGA Support and see if they have any suggestions, as they know your product better then anyone else. Worst case scenario, you might be able to RMA your card.

Hopefully other people have suggestions though. Best of luck to you!

The GTX-1050 TI is extremely underrated, and no one can tell me otherwise.

Yeah, seems like that's that last course of action. I've contacted them and begun the process for the RMA.

    Thanks everyone.
