I was a little worried my old pc's I built in 2009 with an engineering sample I7 970 48gb of ram and the 2013 I7 4770k 32gb of ram system both got upgrades with GTX 1080 FTW2's and SSD's about four years ago. Game runs amazing am surprised would love to see it in all its glory with RTX and all the extra eye candy. I had zero bugs until the 1.05 and 6 patches. All the bugs have been funny or minor inconveniences. The bad press a game of this scale well when you are running it on an xbox one and a ps4 with already limited resources and both were outdated on their release you are going to have problems especially at this level of visual brilliance. Those consoles had issues with their exclusives to keep the FPS up. Honestly it should never been released on both, to get it to run smoothly on them the visuals and world would have to be cranked down to or just below GTA V visuals, would make a really blah flat crappy world.

So far no gaming studio has made a world this big, immersive without instanced interiors, to just so many NPC's, items everywhere, to just the small things that add to the environment. CDPR has pulled off the impossible. Not even Bethesda or any other gaming studio has pulled off something this huge in the history of gaming. The quest, side quest, dialog, easter eggs, goofy stuff have been great. Then there are choices, what you choose will determine your fate at the end of the game what will happen to V or Silverhand. The story though, about to start my second playthrough have over 80hrs doing nearly everything but a race, and some random missions/jobs and police/crime encounters.

If you have at least an I7, lots of ram, and a decent GPU you are in for a treat of an amazing game. You will have to keep in mind your system resource limitations, shadows that are cpu heavy, some lighting, and other affects. Have everything on medium/high/ultra. Get about 30-70 FPS, with an average of 40-50 FPS, only experienced a couple lag spikes in the cars with lots of gun fire and AI going crazy. Freesync has also helped a ton. Just keep all of that in mind if you have an older system and be ready to have your mind blown. Just my few cents on it, really love this game they have done what Bethesda cannot or refuses to do. The world you can get lost in the immersion easily, it is honestly that good.

Great game so many ending possibilities (I have seen 3 :) that it just astounding the amount of effort and how good this game looks and sounds truly breathtaking it is to bad about the enemy Ai could have been smarter for future warriors:( but other than that all good
Running a New build with a 3090 FTW Ultra a 10700k with 32 GB Ram just makes this beast sweat at 4K running 60FPS
This game rocks at whatever settings U prefer there are just so many combinations of DLSS and Real time lighting options to play with👍
Really wish these Cards were more powerful DLSS modes in this game is just to blurry texture wise and its needed for all Ray-Trac setting enabled which is still way way to performance Heavy

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Do not wait just get it, trust me dude, the glitches on the PC are minor. Its the last gen consoles where they are rampant because they are running out of resources on the game. Causing the issues.

It really is shocking how drastic the difference in quality is between last get consoles and PC: I forgot I preordered it for PS4 last year, and it came in because I forgot about itso, gave it a go. And...I can play old games, I'm not a stickler for 144hz hi-def etc, but I was genuinely having difficulty just getting the flow of the game right on PS4, with every graphics setting at its lowest possible fidelity. Won't even say anything about load times. Then, was gifted a PC copy for Christmas, and on a 5600x/3060Ti...absolutely STUNNING to play. It's the smoothest and richest experience I've ever seen. I have barely gotten 3 hours into the PC version but I don't really think I can go back to PS4 after that. Haven't fully settled on what the best graphics settings are for my set up yet, it seems it requires some research

Hmmm... visually its stunning. Everything else is complete trash though...

Key bindings becoming unbound, inability to target useable items, physics clipping, game breaking bugs, horrible UI, garbage tutorials...

As far as the console versions go... they should have known there was NO WAY it would run on that garbage hardware.

I give it a 8.5/10. No load time...is a game changer. The only time you get the load.times is on loading game and that's it. It's a mix of GTA V, R6 siege, and many others.

Far from trash, no issues with key bindings coming unbound, no issues with physics clipping, zero game breaking bugs, UI is fine, so are the tutorials.

Meh... nope, lots of minor bugs floating around, don't let the fanbois fool you. Watch the "Angry Joe" vids on the game, he's got a high end gaming rig, and points out a lot of what we're experiencing.

The key binding problem is annoying.  I've stopped playing recently to wait for the patches early in 2021.  Even with the bugs, I thought the game was decent though.

It is similar to Grand Theft Auto (GTA), in that you can steal cars and drive around.  It is a RPG and FPS in that you can play it as a character that specializes in guns.  But you can customize your build to be more melee or hacking oriented.

I'd like to add that it is similar to the Deus Ex titles in that you can equip different cybernetics/augmentations to change your play style.

Yup similar to "No Man's Sky"... proof of concept is there, but it has a lot of work that needs to happen. Police AI is also horrible... actually seen officers spinning around like tops lmao

I'd like to add that it is similar to the Deus Ex titles in that you can equip different cybernetics/augmentations to change your play style.

Agreed but Deus Ex was much more intuitive.

I can't wait to give this a try.  Already bought it, but haven't played due to having an old graphics card.  As soon as I upgrade, this and AC:Valhalla are at the top of my list.  My buddy keeps urging me just to boot it up, but after barely getting 10 fps on modest settings on AC:Valhalla, I don't even want to try before the upgrade.  Super impressed by the pics at the top of this thread, can't wait.

    Current Build:
    Ryzen 9 3900XT
    Arctic 420mm AIO
    MSI MEG x570 ACE
    32 GB Trident Z Neo CL16 3600mhz DDR4
    EVGA GTX 980 ACX 2.0
Sabrent Rocket NVMe PCI 4.0 1TB
    EVGA Supernova G2 850 Gold
    Thermaltake Level 20 XT

    Best quote I've ever heard:
Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.

By the time you get around to it, it'll likely be better.  I'm pretty sure more and more bugs will be squashed.

Been stoked about this game for years. Finally Rocket Lake is coming with PCIe 4.0 and the extra 4 lanes. I heard a rumor about some amazing new GPU’s nobody can seem to get their hands on.

Regardless, new build is imminent and glad I waited to pull the trigger on this. Let those kinks get ironed out and beef up the rig, game on!

It's a "Cyberpunk" game that doesn't have the balls to touch any of the Cyberpunk themes, such as transhumanism or extreme capitalism.
It's just pretty neons and "oh! Future!".
For a game that claimed to be the "future of open world games", I really don't see it.

Meh... nope, lots of minor bugs floating around, don't let the fanbois fool you. Watch the "Angry Joe" vids on the game, he's got a high end gaming rig, and points out a lot of what we're experiencing.

Honestly I have not ran into any game breaking bugs, 180hrs I only have a handful of achievements left. The only things I have had happen is cars being called and spawning in another car with parts exploding everywhere, and getting into my car in heavy traffic then I was shot into orbit like a rocket ship, spiraled down end over end in the car. It lands on its wheel windows broke went upon my merry way. Been playing on an ancient system built 8 years ago now and upgraded about 4-5 years ago with a GPU and SSD.

    Just a
    Core i7 4770k@ 4.8ghz
    Gigabyte G1 motherboard
    32gb of ddr3 1600 ram
    GTX 1080 FTW2
    Samsung Evo SSD
    Acer 1440p 1ms 144hz Freesync Display.
    using the EZ Configuration mod

Only issue I have seen is the cut content and have seen a lot worse. Anthem, the Battlefronts pretty much any other AAA Studio have all released real train wrecks this is anything but. Yet CDPR is always good about adding cut content later, making real fixes and patches. Not ignoring issues. We have seen that with each of their games. I am sure factions, apartments, modifying cars, cop to ai improvement will happen when or close to MP is added.

Oh trust me each of the endings are pretty dark... some are better than others, some out right depressing. They very much hit the nail on the head. Night City will get you one way or the other.

So is this a RPG, FPS, or what heard its like GTA but what exactly does that mean?

Its an FPS RPG, It is a lot deeper to darker than GTA, and there is no real happy ending just better endings.
