Booted my new computer for the first time today. All is great except for the GPU...got a yellow triangle with exclamation over the GPU. It’s knows that it’s a 2070 Super etc.... The fans spin and the edge of the card lights up to boast its name. I’ve disabled and also uninstalled drivers etc. Not really sure what’s going on 😓😓

You see the yellow triangle on the GPU in what? The os?

Did you download the latest drivers for the card on nvidia's site for the correct windows version?

    Get it here

    https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/153212

Windows fully updated with all the patches?

Windows might of installed the drivers for the card.

Which operating system and which operating system build number? If using an older build of Windows 10, you might need to use the NVIDIA DCH driver if you are using Windows 10 build number pre-1903.

It would be best to download Windows 10 build 1903 or 1909 and install it fresh after formatting your drive, and then try again.

Sorry, guys.  I was so tired when I posted last night that I could barely think straight.  lol

Now that I'm much more fresh!.....

The triangle is in the Device Manager.  It recognizes that the GPU is a 2070 Super, but says that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Yup, drivers installed directly from GeForce website.  Have done it both ways - letting Windows find them and manually going to GeForce and picking them out.  Fully removing other drivers before doing so, of course.

Windows fully updated with all patches installed and run.

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.  It is build 1903 with all the latest patches and updates fully installed as of last night (11/10/19).

    That psu new?

All I can think is maybe the pcie power cable isint full seated (check the wires on both ends of the psu) also check for pushed out wires from the connectors back side.

I know ya wont want to check this one with the aio cooler.. but wondering if maybe you have a standoff under the Motherboard instead where it should be and its causing chaos.

Did ya make sure of that when installing the mb? This a new case as well or did you upgrade the system in a former case?

Modular corsair psu. Wondering if the power is balanced right. There is just 1 single power connection to the card right.. no idea.. have not seen a 2070 prior.

Could just be a driver issue..

What installed first? Windows nvidia drivers? Prob during the updates correct?

Might need to grab DDU and get I to safe mode to remove all traces of Nvidia drivers and try again with the correct nvidia drivers as there might of been junk left over from windows that's causing the issue.

    Grab it here.. https://www.wagnardsoft.c...pic.php?f=5&t=2421

Need to learn how to boot into safe mode to run it correctly.

Wow, as soon as I read your reply it hit me that it could be the power cables and that that would be something easy to check.  Went straight to it and the cables looked fine, but I unplugged both ends and then plugged them back in.  That did it!!  The error code is now gone!  It must've just not been seated all the way or something.  So very strange, but I will take that over having to return the GPU for a new one.  My CPU got lost in shipping and that set me back nearly a month having to wait to make sure it wasn't going to show up before the order could be cancelled and I could be refunded so that I could then buy ANOTHER identical CPU.  lol

Anyway.....I sure do appreciate the help and I'm super glad for my sake that I didn't have to go about removing the AIO cooler for further investigation.

Now I can finally start putting some of my data from my old computer onto the new one!  Yay!

    Thanks so much!  Take care
