Is there a prize pool?  I'm down for making mugs.  We (you) need a team effort to put things in place. I'll be making 10 mugs for 2019. Let me know if there are changes. Otherwise I'll just dole them out  to whom I see fit.

They have been talking in 2018 Time Zone Challenge about the 2019 event ---> 01 Dec was kicked around

I would think if its slow to get off the ground this year - then, January & February are also nice cold months to hold the event --> Every Year

Without a formal event setup we can still go all-out folding next month, just to see team production boosted.
Fold for the first half of the month as much as possible.  It's all about giving!
    The contest would be imaginary.

Then the captains need to get their collective gears  in process... say February?

I think the rule is if you start the thread, you have to organize the TZC...

I've been incredibly busy this year, was going to post something tonight with sign ups to begin in a week or two -but good to see that viper97 will be running things this year!

It doesn't butt er, but it does have folks who track stats and sets this stuff up.  I'd do it but I'm at a loss as to how. Droughnor and for the life of me I cannot remember who. Sets this stuff up. I just wanna make mugs for you folks if the TMZ is official. Any one?

I like the idea of a mug. I'm assuming you're using some online print shop to make mugs you've designed. Any chance you can delay the order so that those that don't win one can buy one? How much do they cost?

Actually I am the print shop and generally I make half a dozen per contest.  I don't sell mugs after that as it seems to me to cheapen the concept of winning a mug.

yes they sure do - to get out the members in those Time zones(that have signed up) folding -- ie PM's

I would like to add since this is never close.... allow others in join the contest after signup  (maybe not win a prize but to just join and have fun)
give inventive to those capts in disadvantaged Time zone to get more people out if they can

and maybe a formula that averages the pts from previous years to give a % boost to each team except last years winner

drougnor usually handle the Main pull from FOH - you pull from his server

dang why can't this wait till i buy a new rig....new 18core Intel or a 24 core threadripper would be a nice addition as well as TWO ampere 3080Ti's

First off Welcome to the Folding side of the forums. There is plenty of info posted in the stickies about what folding is so I suggest familiarizing yourself with the cause there. The TZC (time zone challenge) is a fun yearly thing that takes place. Be the person with the highest, lowest or anywhere in the middle score and for participating, if your name is drawn at random you can win a donated prize! It is a fun way of recruiting folks to start folding and hopefully joining the team to fight diseases. I will be tossing a gtx 1060 in this year. Winner will be picked at random.
