Not sure why when it changed from 200 to 350 but this same thing happen last year and the year before that. I was hopping it would not have changed this year because other than the East Cost we just do not have a Folding Base any longer.

Chris21010 by each team i am assuming EP and CMO teams and not every individual time zones correct?
Each Team Not Each Alliance. Eastern is now at 187,630,312 so not long to go for your Team. The Rule is you keep Folding till the end not keep your PPD till the end. Just keep one Rig on the TZC and do what you will with the Others.
so we have to fold for approximately 140 days so poor pacific can cross that 350M finish line?!
I am not to one to ask this Question. Maybe you can PM troy8d and ask to validate. But with This [Alliance] it shows we only have 4 days left.

robbysites Well I think I have hit my maximum PPD in this challenge. Sorry I (again this year) really understated my daily output. Either way I am happy everything is running and relatively cool on the hybrids!! Until today it has been in the low 80's. Cold front on the way so maybe I can back off the AC. It is great to be back in the top 20 on EVGA

the_Scarlet_one Just ordered a 1050ti mini from Zotac, and received free next day shipping thanks to amazon, so that it can drive 2 of my monitors... this thing really is tiny.
I will let it fold one work unit, and then shut it off. This little thing gets hot quick! Probably not enough room for it’s tiny little fans.
You should undervolt it. The 1050ti in my laptop hits 80c and throttles hard, but with a custom voltage curve, it runs faster than stock at 71c!

maveric191 And I'm down for a couple days. Motherboard went out in a nice puff of smoke a bit ago. Parts are on order thanks to Amazon maybe I'll have them by next monday
Bummer -magic smoke came out What happened ? You'll need to find the root cause so the new parts do not suffer a similar fate Thanks for the heads up on your PPD I hope you got an upgrade out of this, make the pain a little easier. No Micro Centers in your neck of the woods ? http://www.microcenter.com/

The teams are CMO and EP. Ignore the alliance bit. That's how I remember it last year. Do we have a follow up goal of like 1 billion or something like that this year?

No Microcenter in Sin City. we do have a Frys, however they're out of most of the decent parts, and those they do have are so over priced its not funny. The root cause was a rather sick puppy that couldn't find a fast enough exit out my office. She likes to sleep at my feet next to the tower. She managed to short the PSU out and it initially took the PSU and GPUs out. I had hoped that there wasn't any more damage to other components. Now I'll just take my time and rebuild it with everything I want in it instead of throwing whats available in town to get it up n running. Thank Amazon prime and a few EVGA Bucks :-)

oh noes =(. But good time to upgrade it with new toys ^_^. Still have some holiday deals out there to snag. Hope you get back up and running smoothly and hit that 100M marker if you haven't already, banners tend to be slow at updating sometimes =P.

Yes, it is 350 million points for each of the two combined teams that is 350 points for EP and 350 points for CMO. The general length of the contest is in the 10-14 day range, depending on how hard people fold. Also note, the 350 million wasn't a change so much as it was an update to match the number on the other page (though the number did change after the teams were set).

I've got five full-time clients going at the moment: AMD APU (doubles points in the 9xxx job series), MSI RX480 GPU (comparable to a 1060's output), two ancient EVGA 750ti's, an EVGA 1050ti (more than doubles the two 750ti's output at @ 180 to 200K per job); oh, and a sixth one -- 1060M running in laptop mode at night. Wondering what my power bill will be at the end of this challenge
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

5120 cuda cores, 640 tensor cores and full FP64 capabilities. Anandtech says it's a salvaged V100 with a missing memory controller, thus 3 channels for HBM2 instead of 4.

I'll wait on the consumer cards and bank some EVGA bucks in the meantime. Its priced to avoid the miners and as an entry level workstation card for professionals. I doubt the consumer drivers will do it justice right now anyway. And no current boinc or folding unit is going to take advantage of it's main features, the tensor units, anytime soon. It's just not a good investment right now for a cruncher. It'd be far better to get the cuda cores via multiple cards than buy that card.

BreakPoint12 160,000ish PPD. Mind you, this is a laptop, so a desktop 1050ti with adequate cooling could probably hit 170K PPD. Here's the voltage curve I basically copied off some YouTube video:
Thats about right. I have one in my Plex server and it gets anywhere from 165k to 185k depending. Its an EVGA SC unit, no overclock. Boosts to just under 1800 typically. And stays right around 55c while folding.
