@bob16314, Thanks for fast reply, and welcome words. Also thanks for the link to that reference page.
Pretty sure my unit came with the heavy duty C19 cable you describe. I believe they were the factory cables, there was a nice bag for all to be in. Cable on the ps end matches the image in that link; and has a standard US 3 prong wall socket male plug on the other end. So I will continue to use that C19 cable for connecting input to power supply.
But need to find a short adaptor cable with 115V female one side, and 220V some-type-of-male-plug on other side.
I think I have 2 choices for 220V wall socket, one like for a clothes dryer, typical 30A. And another type with 4 prongs that lock and twist. Looking into that, but thank you for the confirmation about auto-switch.
