I purchased a EVGA G2/G3/P2/T2 100-CR-1300-B9 Power Supply Cable Set (Individually Sleeved), Red and upgraded to a 1600 G+ and the 24 pin cable causes my 1600 G+ to immediately shut off. I installed the stock cable and all is good. I thought they were compatible? Or is the cable at fault?

I'm under the impression that cables are electrically compatible between EVGA 1300W and 1600W units..Contact EVGA to be sure, or an EVGATech might chime in here to confirm or deny.

You could try turning it on with a paperclip or wire and check the pinout with a digital multimeter you can buy for about $10..Remove and rearrange any terminals that are wrong..The 24pin connector pinout is industry-standard and shown as if you're looking into the end of it.

How do I test my power supply?

Check the pinout of that cable. Probably incompatible.
Probably an OEM of cablemod, I have warned cablemod to prevent this tragedy from happening.
But they don't admit their mistakes and don't investigate further.

    I'm still asking for information.

Wouldn't even turn on for more than 1/2 second with sleeved cables, original from box worked. Its in my rig running on original cable just as intended.

You mean, doing the 'paperclip test' on the 24pin without any other cables plugged in and with ECO Mode turned off and it still shuts off with the sleeved cable?

there is a possibility that the seller or you have missed up the cables order, and the new red cables are not compatible with your psu. I would just return or replace.

I am not quite tech savvy enough to re pin the plug, but I have seen other posts about a  similar issue. It is running fine now and if I could send the 24 pin cable in for repair that would be great as I am not tearing down the rig for this issue.
abdull74 there is no way to plug them in wrong.  Thanks to all for the knowledge shared.
