New to precision X1 and and after installing a new 3080 ftw3 ultra and downloading precision x1 it was not launching. Only the logo shows up then nothing happens. Checking the event logs shows the following. Looks like an unhandled exception if it can't read the motherboard. Any chance for a fix for this exception so I can use the program?

Tried that as well. Multiple times. Up to date on windows. Uninstalled all other monitoring software to make sure and still the same error.

Did you see this FAQ ?  How Do I Troubleshoot Precision X1 Issues?

it lists a few things it looks like you did not try

Are you using the standalone version ?

Try loading the software again - After - DDU Nvidia driver & reinstall Nvidia driver

Reboot the PC ...

Are you logged in as Admin ?  running .exe as Admin ?

Turn Off in MB BIOS - Fast Boot

Remember to turn Windows 10 Fast Startup OFF, when upgrading drivers, firmware or hardware

You want a full shutdown of the PC & Not "normal turn off of W10" into hibernation instead

Windows Central - How to disable Windows 10 fast startup (and why you'd want to)

How-to Geek The Pros and Cons of Windows 10’s “Fast Startup” Mode

When installing ...are you getting several security alerts - generated in Windows 10 ... "blocked program" ... you need to: check "Windows Security"

"Allow an App through Controlled folder access"  ---> if you noticed a Security pop-up during the Software's install

Also check the: "Recently blocked apps"

Handy step by step how to:   Add or Remove Allowed Apps for Controlled Folder Access

I go offline to install, then shut down All background software - yep, even security software

Thanks for the suggestions, I just tried them and still no luck. The same exact error shows up in the event viewer.

From my software engineer background it looks like the code was written to expect a value from the check to the motherboard about re-bar but the code found a null and the exception is caught and logged. This failing check shouldn't stop the program from running tbh as msi afterburner and gpuz both start up and report against rebar (they show disabled which is correct).

I believe this should probably be classified a bug report? Happy to try other options
