Same here - Fan 4 spun up along with GPU fans when i first tested my 3080 ti FTW3 without opening Precision X1 for the first time on it.
Then after opening precision X1 and updating the firmware after being prompted, It no longer spins fan 4 up with the GPU fans without requiring Precision X1 to be open and using a custom fan curve.
Hopefully EVGA can implement firmware fan curve upload feature like MSI Afterburner has, so that one can make a custom fan curve in PX1 and close PX1 while still retaining the fan curve in the card's firmware until the computer is restarted.
Back to using my motherboard's fan header with it set to be mindful of CPU temperature in the meantime.
