PC Mag - 11-Year-Old Finds Loophole in Newegg App to Quickly Buy PC Graphics Cards
 
“The loophole bypasses the need to go through the Newegg Shuffle lottery system to obtain a standalone RTX 3000 card. Instead, you get a normal, smooth checkout process.
 
An 11-year-old Florida boy has uncovered a loophole in Newegg’s mobile app that allowed him to buy an Nvidia RTX 3000 graphics card in seconds.
 
UPDATE: It seems Newegg has patched the loophole. About an hour or so after we published the story, the retailer removed the PC Builder icon from the Newegg app.”
 
You have to applaud the 11-year old for finding this loophole.

    They have been around computer tech since they were born.  Some of us at that age thought that a six transistor radio was astounding.

    I'm training my kid up.  We build his machine when he was 4.  He's 6 now.  It's a task to pluck him away from the computer and balance life, but I think he's getting a leg up on being prepared for the life of servitude the way our economy is shaping.  He's already finding ways to download games that I haven't permitted.
