i have an evga 1080ti ftw3 bought new. i tested it with my system. when i play games it instantly freeze and nothing works.it doesn't matter low or high. i do hard boot with power button to restart. i tried everything. changed my specs. everything works fine with different gpu's. i tried msi 1080ti and gtx 970. no problem at all. have a benchmark video for this. it's weird because my evga works fine with another system but crash or freeze at mine. i send my card to local warranty. don't know what cause this. English is not my native.

Hello and Welcome to the EVGA Forums
Maybe it silly to ask you ...Sometime that can happen if didn't reinstall NVIDIA Driver for new card GTX1080Ti FTW! that can happen may cause different both card 900 series card and 10 series.
Try uninstall older Nvidia driver and download here for your GTX1080TI FTW here you need select driver for 10 series.

I suspect your  'high power 750w 80+' PSU.... What is the model and age of the PSU?

Best not install the driver through Geforce Experience! Try uninstall GF and install the driver and PhysX only.

it's weird because my evga works fine with another system but crash or freeze at mine.

---> Your previous OC of MB, CPU, RAM -  may not be stable with a different GPU in the PC

How to figure-out if it is the MB or the PSU

What OS - details please ?

To test MB:  Clear CMOS  (copy your settings First - cellphone camera work very well for this)

    - Load default BIOS & Reboot
    - Now enter BIOS again & load your settings & reboot

DDU & install Only GPU & PhysX - go offline - stop all background software - even security (Use Custom install)

To test PSU - remove & replace current PSU & the Wires -(wires are Not interchangeable in Most cases)

Sounds like your system has a problem since the card works fine in another pc. My suggestions would be to...

#1 Replace your psu with a tier 1 psu.
#2 Reset bios to optimized defaults.
#3 Boost cpu vcore .10 over stock. e.g. If stock vcore under load is 1.15 set it to 1.25.
#4 Set ram to run at 2666 MHz with the correct voltages and timings.

Retest the system after doing everything I've mentioned.

i can't reset bios because my mb is designed for 8. gen. proc. and i don't have it right now. mb is updated under instructions of mb's staff. i use w10 pro version. it's my first system with this specs so there is not previous settings for other gpu's but they work fine.

Resetting the bios to optimized default doesn't load an older bios, so cpu support won't be affected.

It loads the Default setting in the BIOS on your MB --> Does Not change the BIOS Version

hi guys got my card from local warranty. it's still same but they say there isn't any problem. bios reset didn't work too. tried 1200w psu with 2 separate pcie cables still same. my system work fine with 2080ti - 1080ti - 970. after 15min of game, screen freeze and same happening at benchmark test. i'll take my case to local warranty to proof my problem. is there any explanation of this weirdness?

Did you setup your cpu & ram like I stated in post #9?

i can't change ram speed on mb. it's disabled. if i enable xmp it goes to 3000mhz auto. i didn't tried your cpu settings. didn't mess with voltages. isn't it dangerous? i can upload screenshots on my mb's settings.

Selling the card & buying a different gpu is an option.

I suspect that maybe you tried other cards to short time and didn't experience freezing.
That's not so often problem with GPU. Usually is motherboard. If GPU fail or crash, usually you can back to desktop because she work than on much lower clock and react on ctrl-alt-delete... Freezing happen usually when some problems with signal is somewhere in motherboard, power in PSU.
But memory even HDD could cause freezing.
EVGA had some problems with first version of GTX1080Ti FTW3 if I remember and they change something and fix problems.
But didn't cause freezing if I remember good.

That's worse problem I had in life, freezing with old AMD platform. I still have PTS like veterans from Vietnam because freezing.
When my mouse stay without power my heart jump always.
