Hi all,

Recently got a new Pc built with a 1080ti, and wanted to improve the cooling with a EVGA hybrid kit.

However, stupidly I realised that my card isn't a FE, it's a blower edition:

Is this essentially the same as the FE compatibility wise, or will the evga Hybrid cooler not work with this card?

Appreciate any advice before I start hacking the card open :)

Hello Jbouk and welcome to the Forums!

What exact model card do you have? The kit may be compatible with other reference models (with minor caveats).

That model does appear to be a reference design but I cannot confirm this as it is a Zotac card. You will need to contact Zotac directly and ask if that model has a reference PCB or not.

If yes, then you should be able to use the Hybrid Kit with this card. We of course cannot offer a 100% guarantee as we have not tested this combination here.

    Correct in all respects.

The kit is designed to allow you to install the Hybrid on a reference 1080 Ti Founders Edition PCB, and provides screws to allow installation with a compatible backplate or without a backplate.  As Joseph also mentioned, we can't guarantee it will work with that card (because it's not ours).
