So when using user benchmark or passmark something really strange happens where a oscillating sound is actually coming from my gpu pump. I even verified if it was my speakers, or my non ssd hard drive or cpu pump by unplugging them or muting the speakers it’s not any of them, it appears to be the gpu’s pump interacting as if it was playing a sound file. My pc doesn’t have a built in speaker, and it sounds like a motor making the sound when I use these benchmarks.

Can only say try it yourself and listen to the gpu; other then it being strange my gpu is fine for tempatures and the pump doesn’t display these strange noises during other benchmarks or games.

[SOLVED - coil whine ]

Here's a video of the sounds. Fan noise is a little loud sorry 7 fans in my case.

Yeah it’s loud enough to hear it with the side cover on. The system fans only loud because wind was blowing on the mic of my phone but the system is actually relatively quiet so it confused me when I first used those benchmarks because I could still hear that oscillating sound when I muted my tv speakers.

Here’s another one using userbenchmark

Curious if it does this for anyone else’s hybrid card.

The reason I know it’s not is it doesn’t make these sounds in superposition 8k or 3Dmark. The gpu has never hit over 60c OC in any of my benchmarks for it to cause a coil whine the card is less then a year old. *memory has hit over 60c because it’s OC to 12Ghz 6003Mhz

The sounds are different compared to userbenchmark or passmark and as different graphics tests pop up they seem to sound like something the graphic test shapes might be. As I play each test the sounds are always the same and a different tone depending on the test. A plane zipping around, Tie dye hypno thing, buzz of a swirling shape, a oscillating shape, or a arm spinning around a globe all had unique sounds I’d swear it sounded like someone programed a old hard drive to play sounds from a rotating disk.

Those two benchmarks Passmark and usermark are kinda crap so I’m not worried, but it’s interesting.

Thanks for sending me that, was thinking coil whine was something else. But that makes sense to me.
