I just found out by sales that the hydro copper waterblock for 1080ti kingpin edition is end of life....

any one knows if a 3rd party waterblock would fit this card?

Go with a ek universal block and fans on the card to cool the memory and power or sell it and get a 1080ti and slap a water block on it.

Sure you can sell it for a profit atm.

I just don't understand why EVGA would stop making these, I mean with this card I'm obviously going to want to to watercool it for extreme overclocking. I may end up selling it but with the current inflated price on video cards I may have to wait until nvidia releases 2080 or whatever is next.

There isn’t anything extreme about watercooling. Extreme refers to temps of 0c and below. The card was meant for LN2 overclocking.

Sell it and grab a low end card to hold you over until Volta releases.

This is the one card that I’ve owned that performs extreme (benchmark) on its stock air cooler and keeps thermals in check.

The universal block is a good idea if you really have your heart set on a custom loop. You can remove just the gpu portion of the cooler if I remember correctly. Not looking at it now.

Don’t let anyone talk you into selling. This is a beautiful piece of kit. EVGA may never have this card in stock again (I’m being completely serious)

This card I use on my daily work / game rig. Every other card earns me $$$.

I used to mine. Now I compute.

Thank you, honestly this is the best card I have ever owned. It looks beautiful and I cant really get myself to sell it, however I am a watercooling enthusiast. I kept cheeking back on EVGA for the waterblock but it never came back on stock.

I agree with you both KINGPIN editions may never be on stock anymore making my card even more valuable. I'm not too sure about the universal waterblock, memory and VRM temps are definitely important on this card.
