So I'm not too sure if I want to upgrade now, or just wait for the 11 series, but I could use some help now either way.

I'm sure this question has been asked, but I want to know how different these two cards in terms of temperature output. I mainly ask because my bedroom can unfortunately push a little past 35 degrees Celsius (around 100 degrees Fahrenheit). Obviously this isn't a very ideal ambient temperature for any card, but would I be alright with the SC2 or would I really benefit from the extra fan in the FTW3?

Thanks for the help!

Sounds like you need a hybrid card.

I'd get no sleep at all if I had to lay in a puddle of my own sweat all night. Buy an AC unit instead of a video card.

Water cooling cant go below abundant room temp. My room temp is at or below 70f.. 21c. Max card temp with a custom water loop is around 43-45c max 113f. So like +40f over room temp.

A aio cooler is prob around +10c above that so.. guessing you see at best 70-75c under load.

As others have mentioned, if the ambient temperature of the room is hot then achieving lower temperatures will be difficult. Between the SC2 and the FTW3, the FTW3 would probably run a bit cooler since it does have a larger heatsink and that third fan. In a room that is kept at a temperature of about 72-74F, the FTW3 typically performs about 70-75C under full load but your mileage may vary.

My rig is in the basement.. can get to 64f down there at times. First floor is perfect temp and the upstairs is always super hot :/. I need another air conditioner unit just for the upstairs.. not gonna happen.
