Greetings
I have a 1080 Ti ftw 3 hybrid. I'm fairly new to pc building let alone AIO's, so I'm not sure if is this normal. After about 15 minutes of gaming the temperature rises to around 62 to 70c. Now maybe I'm being paranoid, but aren't these temps high for an AIO setup?
I've tried messing with the fan configuration to see if it was just bad airflow. These things include switching the rad to an intake and leaving the side panel and top panel off. This had no effect on the temps. This is with a noctua nf-f12 replacing the stock fan at 100% speed
I tried to see if there was any air bubbles stuck in the pipes, so I tapped the pipes and moved to case side to side. This too had no effect.
The rad is mounted above the GPU.
Thanks for reading, sorry if it's a silly question!

Definitely high for a hybrid card.

Perhaps a picture of the system so folks can see what you are working with?

When I first had it in my system it would go up to 85c. After a few hours playing~benching a bit it stablized I think? I also changed my airflow configuration so that might helped as well.
Now I never reach above 60c.

Maybe the burn-in method helped, try it out and if not you can RMA it.

This is the card in question. The temp reading was with the top panel and side panels off. The case is an Enthoo Evolv atx.

The case is setup so front and back are intakes with the top being exhaust. Both are push/pull

Well first thing you have your gpu rad upside down which can trap air in the pump on the gpu.

    Flip it around.

Would indeed turn the rad around with the tubes on the bottom. This is adviced by EVGA in the card included in the box.

Edit: same for the X62's rad, this was my first setup with an AIO as well. Didn't seem it changed temps much but it is recommended.

I have now flipped the rad around so that the tubes are at the bottom, but the temperatures remain the same.

Do temps improve when putting the stock fan back on?

Temps were slightly worse with the stock on fan.
I play at 3440x1440 at 120hz on ultra.
fps usually floats around 80-100 on Witcher 3 and around 100-120 on Fortnite and ffxiv.

With reasonable ambient temps,  looping Heaven for awhile, I would expect you to stabilize no higher than 50-55C. So, maybe redoing the thermal paste would help with your temps. When I play Fallout 4 for example at 1440p with every graphical setting maxed with 60 FPS vsync,  I sit around 47-48C. I'm running a push/pull exhaust with a couple of Scythe fans running ~900 RPM.

What is the temp of your room? Reapplying the thermal paste may help like hemi said if the current application is bad. If redoing the thermal paste doesn't help & your room temp is acceptable you may have a weak pump.

That's what I'm about to try. I'm going to reapply the thermal paste, will update after
The temp in my room is 21c

Might still be air stuck in the pump and tilting the case around so the air flushes out of the card and up to the rad may fix it. But you check the cooler and paste as well just to take that out of the equation.

If that don't so it then it's prob another bad pump.

Post thermal paste update! I've ran witcher 3 for about an hour and the GPU temp capped at 54c! Memory and power temps stayed around 65c. I guess the thermal paste was just no good from the factory.
    Thanks for the help everyone

I actually had a noctua cooler before my X62, but the tube is empty :(. I got some Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut left, is that any good for GPU's as well?

I'm seeing similar temps to the OP on my build (60-70ºC under load). Images of my build can be seen here (pcpartpicker.com/b/F4P323)

I didn't realize the radiator hoses should be on the bottom, I'll flip those around. In the event that doesn't help, is there a guide to remove the water pump and reapply the thermal paste? Don't want to damage anything trying to remove the pump. Also, does that void warranty?

On a side note, it doesn't seem like the actual fan ever comes on. I am controlling the Rad fan through Corsair's Link 4 software, but I'm not sure if the fan on the board ever spins up.

Yes, the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is a very good thermal compound. Use it myself for my CPU.

You can control the fan in the card with evga's precision x oc software.

I cant hear mine even at 100% over my other case fans.

for what it is worth i could not get the fan to operate using the fan curve. outside of using the manual slider the fan would not spin.

my fixed required changing the "fan speed update period" under the fan curves tab. Not sure why the default time would not work

Honestly, i think if your warranty is still valid, i would send it back, if you are paying a premium price you should get a premium product
