OK...
Thanks for the confirmation.
I will continue to wait patiently.... well mostly patiently

This will most likely be my last Graphics upgrade with this system.
There are too many incompatibilities with this older AMD MOBO...
I get the PCIE error message on bootup...the iCX sensors don't show on GPUZ... Any version of EVGA XOC after 6.0.9 won't load...

BUT... I'm evidently addicted to EVGA... I checked my products page... my first EVGA card was a GeForce 6800 in 2004

MSI B360M-PRO
Intel i7-9700K

I asked this in another thread but since everyone here is gunning for the same card, I figure I'll clarify here as well.

I wanted to get this cooler: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=400-HY-5388-B1

It's listed on that page as being compatible with the 1080Ti SC Black, but according to one of the other threads on this forum, the backplate won't go back on leaving you with exposed PCB, does that sound correct?

Yes, they didn't plan for you to put the backplate back on. It works fine for the FE somehow, t you'd need to buy longer screws to get the backplate back on.

Thanks.  Is longer screws all that is needed?  That'd be an easy fix but I don't want to do that if it'd cause some sort of issue.

I'd be careful with longer screws.  Someone already damaged their PCB leaving them with a $700+ paper weight.  EVGA can repair the cards but in this particular case, they didn't because of the extent of the damage.

Applied the 20th. No updates as of yet. No worries though. :). This is awesome and I think at 1440p / 144hz. I'll be keeping my 1080 ti for quite some time!

Yes !

My card just crossed borders (shipping my 1080 FTW from Canada).

EVGA should receive my card very soon...

I'm thrilled to see the difference between the 1080 FTW and the new 1080 Ti Black !

That's my hope as well! I have the Dell S2716DG and am hoping the Ti can keep pushing sweet sweet 144hz for a long time at 1440p.

So..here's a question I haven't really found an answer to.I upgraded my 1080 FTW ACX to a 1080 FTX2 ICX through the ICX Upgrade program.Since I did that I can now Step up to a 1080 Ti Black edition. However, When I bought my original 1080 FTW ACX it was over $700 and now the ICX version is barely $600.If I were to Step up to the 1080Ti Black, would I have to pay the $100+  difference,or does what I originally paid for my ACX count towards the Step Up since I went through the ICX Upgrade program?I thought I saw a disclaimer in the ICX Upgrade post that said I'd get credited the extra BEFORE the price drop(Probably since the 1080Ti reveal was literally right when the ICX Upgrade was announced). Not 100% sure on that,so any info would be appreciated. :)

I'm going to guess it may be a little while.  I submitted my request on the 15th of May and haven't received any emails yet.  The farthest in we've gotten thus far is someone who submitted a request on the 12th, I believe.

Why is the U.S. so far behind Canada and Europe? Reading through the Fe step up thread the average time was 10-14 days.
