You started your Step up on July 31st? id say at least a month before you hit Step 2 - i waited something like 9 or 10 weeks.

I got mine a week ago. It is a great program and well worth the wait. EVGA is a great company and believe me when I say they have superior customer service! I've bought a good bit of their stuff and I have had a few issues and they have always made it right.

Saying that the SC Black has iCX fan technology can be misleading, because people can think that the SC Black has asynchronous fans (as opposed to the previous ACX 3.0 tech that had the same fans but synchronous). That's why you should make it clear in the first post.

Agree.  Some will confuse this with the real ICX cards.  Honestly, I think EVGA made the mistake as well, even though it only uses maybe the same fans but obviously not the same tech. that comes with the asynchronous and the rest of the features.

OP, I would add to your post that it's not a full blown ICX GPU so it differentiates from the rest.  Doesn't come with asynchronous fans, sensors, etc.

I have signed up in Europe for the SC2 1080ti stepup from my 1080ti FE. Now on the waiting list.

RJ, the 1080Ti SC2 is true ICX and last I've read, it isn't part of the list.   How in the world did you get that when it's only the SC Black Edition unless that's what you meant?

Waiting for the bombardment of customers demanding the full ICX GPUs any moment now.  I can see the fiery pitch forks over the dark horizon.

Torch in hand. Broke the pitch fork the other day.. ;)

I was able to Step Up to the SC2 instead of the Black due to stock limitations? Stepped up from an 1080 FTW2.

Here is the email I received:

"I am following up with you in regards to your Step Up request to let you know that EVGA will be upgrading the GTX 1080 TI with the Part Number 11G-P4-6393-KR to the GTX 1080 TI with the Part Number 11G-P4-6593-KR free of charge due to stock limitations. Mine has been pending for the invoice to be approved but what I find weird is that when I check under "my Product" I can already pay for the upgrade and proceed at sending out my current card. I wonder if I didn't miss an email...

Thanks mate, really hoping you get your step 2 email as well for this batch, they still had stock last I checked but I don't know if they segregate step-ups from their online stock, hopefully not, meaning just because they have stock in their online store doesn't mean stepups get from that stock count.

Did you actually get invoice approved? STEP 2 is end of queue, Step 3 being invoice approved.  Just curious about invoice approval, others have not had theirs approved but queue is up. Thanks!

So is anyone else getting an SC2 instead of the SC black? It seems like the queue has moved a lot in the last couple of days.

And yeah it's been over 24 hours and am still waiting on invoice approval.

I don't have any option to pay right now either.. just at : Next Step: Awaiting Approval
