Got my 1080Ti Ftw3 preorder in. May 1 is a long time away.
Now I'm thinking just want a blue or white elite one. Too many decisions to make concerning my folding rig. Anyone else hopping about the train?

Can't wait for the party to start.

Oh, I would like to. I'm going to have to be happy with my water cooled FE step-up for now. Great cards.

I have not decided yet, the GTX1080 Ti SC Black Edition costs €790 here and I have a little more than 400 EVGA Bucks... Hmmm,  it's very tempting...

So far Driver 378.92 is Folding Well on the EVGA GTX 1080Ti FE Graphics Cards.
They also run GPUGRID as Well.

Bought NVIDIA branded FE two weeks ago when they had some in stock. Added EVGA AIO cooler to it, now running above 1.2M PPD. MSI 1080 Ti Armor is coming today.

I'll probably get a few Ti SC Black depending on the reviews. I really want something with 3 fans, but the FTW3 pricing isn't competitive compared to ASUS/Gigabyte.

EDIT: 1080 Ti Armor just came.

Heh, this thing is pretty. Despite the huge fans, while folding (no OC), this card runs at 87C. It's quiet, but far too hot, especially if I'm running it 24/7. I can put this thing at 100% fan speed, I barely hear the fan, and it still runs at 82C (75F ambient). For comparison, I try not to let any of my other cards run above 78C, and that's with at least a +100Mhz Core/Mem clock. It'll be the first and only MSI I own. I learned my lesson, that's for sure. As far as my loyalty goes, I have 3 EVGA cards and 1 card with EVGA parts, so I'm still an EVGA fanboy.

HOW are you registering 2.7 million, almost 2.8 million, ppd on two cards?

1080 Ti, yo. These things are blazing fast. My EVGA/NVIDIA hybrid has been showing 1.4M+ for most of today.

Yeah.. I have two of them and I am getting 2.2 million max.. hence why I asked how you are getting 1/2 a million more a day.

Are you using Beta or advanced config, or did you leave them blank?

I have advanced, full power, and folding core priority set to high.

temps, clock speeds, and work units can swing that estimate a lot. its best to look at actual points generated over a few days.

Strange. I'm running stock everything with no different configs. I got the MSI card temp under control for now and they're both now clocked at 2025 Core and 5130 Mem. NVIDIA card is still running 1.45M, MSI dropped down to 767K.

I am folding over 2000mhz on two cards, with temps under 50c.  Work units would be the only thing I could see fluctuating, especially since temps and clocks speeds probably aren't the factor lol.

There is a pretty big different in credit/PPD by project from what I've found. I built a dashboard based on HFM.NET data for my set-up that gives me some pretty good insight to maximize PPD and credit. the PPD/credit data isn't 100% accurate because it doesn't include bonuses (I think? )

Just removed the Advanced Tag off of ONE GPU and it jumped to 3.5 Million PPD for a short period of time.  Now it is settling in at 2.5m ppd or so.

My two 1080Ti can hit 3.3 when both cards are running small WUs that are 1 hour and TPF of .38 Seconds.
The same as what toddryoungblood shows in his image.

I think if I qualify for this elite thing or it don't cost much I'll cancel my preorder and wait. Plenty of of time to wait it out.

Either way, as soon as an iCX style card hits stepup I'm gonna snag it.

When my FTW comes in I am going to move my cards to be opposite of yours.  Move the blower card to the bottom so it is sucking in cooler air.  The FTW should run cooler since FE will be dumping most its heat outside the case.

I actually tried this pretty sooner after I installed the card. It ended up making it worse. It's counter-intuitive, but on all of my machines, the bottom slot runs coolest.

everyone forgets how HOT the top of the card gets. that top of the card can easily hit 80C and once you put a fan near it bam. you just turned the top of the card into a heat sink making the upper slotted card always run hotter.

Top card is always gonna be airflow constrained. Just by having the backplate/backside so close.

Good thing is I have a good spacing on my motherboard, almost 2 inches between the cards. I just think once move the 1080TI FE to the lower slot it will not be sucking in all the heat from the 1070FTW.  So I would think my 1080TI FTW when it gets here should run cooler than the 1080TI FE is now in the top slot.
