Hi all,

Several times a day while using my PC both of my monitors freeze and the entire screen is just one solid color. The colors are random (most recently one monitor went black and one went green). I can't find a common action to recreate this. I'll be watching a YouTube video, browsing the Steam store, checking email, anything, and this randomly happens. If I have audio going; the audio continues to play like normal. Turning the monitors off and on doesn't fix it. I always have to restart the PC. All software on my PC is up to date and so is all my firmware. I tried the graphics firmware tool as well and that didn't help. Anyone experiencing anything similar? This is extremely frustrating.

Specs
OS: Windows 10 Home 64
Mobo: ASRock Z370 Extreme4
CPU: i7 8700k
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3200
PSU: Corsair RM750x 750W

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could take your video card to a local pc shop to have it checked out.

It's the nvidia 460.xx drivers, both recent ones have caused all sorts of issues on 1080 cards. Drop back to 457.51

Had the same issue. What helped me was going into Nvidia Control Panel and setting the Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance.

Both 460.89/79 had this issue for me. Something to do with how the cards ramp up when a load is present.

It does sound like a driver issue. Rolling back to an older driver may help, just be sure you do a clean driver install if you rollback.
