You are fine, we understand you need to post the pictures :-). Unfortunately, some of the images are no showing currently :-(
I do suggest a hosting site, like Imgur, so you can post larger pictures and you can post many at one time.
You can sign into Imgur with Google or some other pages to save time signing up.

Here's how it looks: Also, do you think it's worthy to attempt to clean that blackened part somehow?

On the PCB easy with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol dabbing with a Q-Tip Only. No on the Thermal Pads, if you want you can replace them but I think they are fine.

Check the Imgur link, I will add any pictures there. It's better to avoid issues :)

When you embed Imgur Images make sure you add the .jpg to the end. It is better to embed the image over linking to it because we have to open the link to see the image and not just see it on the Forum. This applies only when Not Using the Mobile View. Like this (Using https://i.imgur.com/xeU44ov.jpg) Then I select the Image and Link to the Org using the same address https://i.imgur.com/xeU44ov.jpg Most of the Time using only https://imgur.com/a/FEjC73c gives us a Black Square
