I have my GPU and Power/Memory fans linked together and the fan curve set for both of them is identical. But when I click between the G for the GPU fan and the P for Power fan to see their RPM displayed in Precision, the RPM for the Power fan does not match that of the GPU fan, and the RPM of the Power fan fluctuates up and down by a value of 30 RPM.
For example, right now my GPU temp is reading 33c and the Power and Memory temps are both reading 34c. With the G selected the displayed RPM is fluctuating between 1048RPM and 1058RPM, but it only fluctuates up or down maybe 3-4 RPM at a time. That's normal behavior I am accustom to seeing when my system is idle. But if I click on the P do view the RPM for the Power fan, it just keeps bouncing rapidly between 990RPM and 1020RPM. A 30RPM jump, and a high and low value that does not match that of the GPU fan.
But, again, the fan curve for both fans is the same and I have the little link between the G and the P set so the two fans should be linked together. Breaking that link does nothing to change the behavior of the RPM on either fan. At least at idle. Fan Speed Update Period is set to the default 5000ms and I do not have any Temp Hysteresis set. Do I have a faulty card? Is this a bug with Precision? what is causing both the incorrect RPM and the RPM to jump 30 points like that?
